Hotwav Note 13 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
HOTWAV Note 13 Overview
HOTWAV Note 13 - making the bestseller simpler
The Chinese company Hotwav has not been on the market for so long, but has already been able to release several commercially successful models. Even with a modest marketing campaign, the phones sold an impressive number of copies thanks to their balanced technical characteristics. But the manufacturer does not stop there and is constantly expanding its range. The hero of today's review is a simplified version of one of the developer's hits, which has a chance to at least partially repeat the success of its predecessor.
In terms of design, the new product is no worse than its opponents. The dual camera unit and the colors of the rear panels made of high-quality plastic also look interesting. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner and relatively narrow display bezels also enhance the attractiveness of the exterior. The installed IPS panel is unlikely to evoke such positive emotions due to the HD+ resolution. It is not enough for high-definition images; small fonts will sometimes look blurry. The maximum brightness level of 500 nits is not always sufficient to interact with the mobile assistant in direct sunlight, but the color reproduction is natural.
The UNISOC Tiger T606 processor, 4GB of RAM (another four gigabytes can be increased using ROM) and the Mali G57 MC1 video adapter are ready to score more than 200 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark. This result guarantees good performance of the Android OS interface and the absence of critical delays when launching applications. Gaming capabilities, however, are limited; you can only hope for stable gameplay in undemanding 3D projects like PUBG Mobile. The internal memory is allocated 128GB, but if desired, it can always be expanded with MicroSD cards. However, in this case you will have to sacrifice one of the SIM cards. The battery capacity has been increased to 5160mAh. The battery ensures active operation of the gadget for a couple of days. The charging power was 10W, which can hardly be called fast.
But the photo capabilities did not let us down, if we remember the price of the phablet. If the auxiliary 0.3-megapixel sensor is frankly useless, then the main 50-megapixel photo module during the day can create frames with good detail and without excess noise. Of course, there is no stereo sound in an inexpensive device, but you can listen to your favorite music even with wired headphones. To reduce costs, we had to cut out NFC contactless payments, which for some will be a serious disadvantage. However, a combination of other advantages with an extremely affordable price tag of the device allows us to recommend it for purchase to every thrifty electronics lover.
