The updated flagship line from the Chinese company Honor caused quite controversial emotions among the fans of the brand. The tangible changes in device design and pricing were not well received by all of the manufacturer's fans. However, the most inexpensive representative of the series is more similar to the previous products of the corporation.

The appearance of the novelty is not devoid of beautiful features, but the design of the triple camera turned out to be too unusual. The large design element contrasts somewhat with the ergonomic and neat contours of the case. The back panel is made of glass, while the side edging with the fingerprint scanner is made of polycarbonate, so it is better to carry the gadget in a case to avoid scratches. The 6.78-inch IPS display has small bezels and has received many positives. FullHD + resolution is optimal for the diagonal, brightness and contrast almost did not lag behind those of AMOLED panels. The cherry on top of the cake is the 120 hertz refresh rate, which improves the smoothness of the displayed content.

The technical characteristics selected the Mediatek Dimensity 900 processor, working together with 8GB of RAM and the Mali G68 MC4 video adapter. Such a bundle is still rarely found in modern Android smartphones, but the situation will soon change. A stunning balance of performance and energy efficiency is expressed both in medium-high graphics settings, even in such resource-intensive projects as Genshin Impact, and 8-9 hours of active screen time from a 4000mAh battery. The battery is not very capacious, but it charges up to 100% in just 25 minutes (fast charge 66W ). The volume of internal storage of 128 / 256GB is not satisfactory, there is also a microSD card slot.

The photographic capabilities fully correspond to the price tag requested for the phablet. 108-, 8- and 2-megapixel cameras do their best to cope even with evening photography with good detail and natural color reproduction. Noise cancellation works out decently, although there is no optical stabilization. Smooth 4K videos also come in handy for the buyer. Additional functionality of the device is represented by stereo speakers and optimized Android 11. The appearance of contactless NFC payments is expected only in the global version, like FDD-LTE B7, which is necessary for the functioning of 4G networks in the CIS countries. Thus, the reviewed Android smartphone did without critical flaws and will delight the user with gaming power, and photo modules, and autonomy. It remains only to wait for the release of the device outside of China.
