Honor X50 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Honor X50 Overview
Honor X50 - an impending revolution?
The Chinese company Honor, although it remains popular among fans of mobile electronics, can no longer consider itself a market leader. However, the former fame, the grown budget and ambitions do not allow the developer to give up the fight for the championship. That is why truly impressive smartphones sometimes come out from under the manufacturer's conveyor.
The appearance of the novelty is great for a phone at the turn of the low and medium price segments. Although the case is mostly made of plastic, the camera unit transferred from the flagships, a truly frameless curved AMOLED display and a convenient side fingerprint sensor make the device more beautiful than most opponents. The AMOLED panel with a diagonal of almost 7 inches received an increased resolution of 2652 x 1200 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate and a good margin of brightness. Such a screen would deserve compliments even in a device twice as expensive.
The specifications are based on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and 8GB/12GB/16GB of RAM. The bundle is gaining more than 500 thousand points in AnTuTu, which indicates its excellent performance. The Android 13 operating system is completely devoid of lags, there is room for running modern resource-intensive games. The most resource-intensive Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail will not be available at maximum graphics settings, but you won’t have to lower the presets too much either. Autonomy is also pleasantly surprising. A huge 5800 mAh battery helps you not to think about the location of the nearest outlets for about a couple of days. There is also no shortage of permanent memory. 128/256GB of ROM can be easily expanded with MicroSD cards.
Minor savings are seen only in photo opportunities, namely in the useless 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor. The main 108-megapixel Samsung HM6 is an excellent solution for daytime photo shoots, where the module does not give up even before shooting dynamic scenes. Evening shots are not so pleasing due to the appearance of noise. Unfortunately, the camera did not get optical stabilization. But the gadget has stereo speakers, characterized by decent volume. Support for 5G will be another reason to praise the amazing device. It's a pity that the model doesn't have NFC and global software yet, but we'll hope for the best.
