Honor 60 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Honor 60 Overview
Honor 60 - repeat failure?
The Chinese company Honor is experiencing hard times after the separation from the parent corporation Huawei. Sales have dropped significantly, and the expansion of the range of smartphones now with support for Google services is slow. In addition, the phones themselves are not very successful. So, the last line of flagships and sub-flagships of the company came out very controversial. It was the junior representative of the series that came under the most serious criticism. Will the hero of today's review try to correct all the shortcomings of his predecessor, or is such a difficult task beyond his powers?
The appearance of the novelty has retained the familiar features of the previous model. So, the design of three cameras in the form of two circular elements remained, as well as expensive materials for the body in the form of metal and tempered glass. The applied AMOLED panel has become closer to the frameless status, and the peephole of the 32-megapixel selfie camera is less noticeable. The area of the sub-screen fingerprint sensor has slightly increased, as has the accuracy of fingerprint processing. As for the display, with a picture resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and its refresh rate increased to 120Hz, we get an extremely clear and smooth image. Surprisingly, there are no problems with the brightness and contrast parameters, which have reached almost record values.
But in terms of technical characteristics, there have been no changes. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G CPU, along with 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 642L graphics accelerator, the processor is able to provide comfortable gameplay in any games, but this is not a flagship chip, this state of affairs is unlikely to remain in the next couple of years, graphics presets will have to be cut in the future. But the energy efficiency of the bundle is good, so chargers with a 4800mAh battery will come in handy about once a day and a half. Fast charging with a power of 66W will also not be superfluous, but on its wireless counterpart they saved money to keep the cost. Internal memory allocated 128 / 256GB of ROM . Unfortunately, its increase with microSD cards is not provided.
108-, 8- and 2-megapixel photo modules are still topped by the Samsung HM2 sensor without optical stabilization. The results of daytime photo shoots are great, but getting detailed pictures in the evening or even at night is problematic, video content in 4K resolution is often annoying with the effect of double vision. An Android smartphone of the highest price segment received high-quality stereo sound , NFC contactless payment, work in 5G networks, but many disadvantages, unusual for devices of the value category, will not bring the device to the rank of bestsellers.
