Honor 60 SE Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Honor 60 SE Overview
Honor 60 SE - closer to the leaders
The recent flagship series of smartphones from the Chinese company Honor pretty much disappointed fans with modest performance, and the phones had other minor flaws. At the same time, the price tag requested for devices was slightly higher than that of the nearest opponents. Fortunately, the developer managed to change his mind in time and listened to the criticism. The hero of today's review retains the pricing policy of its predecessors, but corrects the situation with technical characteristics.
The appearance of the novelty is recognizable and really beautiful. In many ways, the effect is achieved due to the original design of three photomodules and a flash in the form of two circles, memorable body colors and small screen frames. Of course, the relatively inexpensive sub-flagship received a number of simplifications. So, the edging is made of plastic, the durability and strength of which are small. The 6.67-inchAMOLED display is pretty good. A good diagonal resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, a large margin of brightness, excellent resistance to direct sunlight, a picture refresh rate of 120hertz and a responsive under-screen fingerprint sensor will help the AMOLED screen leave an exceptionally pleasant impression.
The Mediatek Dimensity900 processor is an excellent chipset that offers both low cost and remarkable gaming power. The installed CPU, coupled with 8GB ofRAM and the MaliG68MC4 video adapter, did not go far from the top solutions for the smoothness of the gameplay in Genshin Impact and Fortnite. Energy efficiency also does not fail, allowing even a decent 8-9 hours of active screen time from a single charge of a 4800mAh battery. Fast charging at 66W will also not interfere with the future user, as well as support for 5G networks. It is only possible to criticize the amount of internal storage ( 128/256GB ofROM ) for the lack of expandability.
64-, 8- and 2-megapixel cameras differ little from those of previous devices in the line. The main Omnivision OV64B sensor is good in daylight shooting. It carefully transfers colors and details to pictures without upsetting the dynamic range or noise. But the optical stabilization reserved for flagships limits evening photo opportunities. Moving objects come out blurry, the frames themselves are noisy. There are no stereo speakers, but the mono sound is loud. NFC contactless payment, the presence of Google services and a lot of other advantages make the device more interesting than previous models.
