Honor 600 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Honor 600 Pro Overview
Honor 600 Pro - One Step Away From Flagships
Pro smartphones in the main line from the Chinese company Honor have always been distinguished by an excellent balance of price and quality, making them bestsellers. Some models were more successful, while others didn't sell in the millions, but they still retained a place in the hearts of the brand's fans. And today's review subject will also be loved by many electronics enthusiasts. It's less expensive than expensive flagship solutions, yet boasts almost all the competitive advantages of such devices.
The design of the new device is very interesting. The unique photo module unit looks original and stylish, the attractive color scheme of the glass back panels, the cool metal frame, and the almost bezel-less display with an integrated fingerprint scanner create a very premium look. There are no complaints about the 6.57-inch AMOLED panel either. The 2728x1264 resolution is sufficient for crisp images, the 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth content, and the outstanding peak brightness of 6500 nits ensures sunlight doesn't detract from the comfort of using the mobile assistant. PWM is almost nonexistent, but an oleophobic coating is present.
The specifications include last year's top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 12GB/16GB of RAM, and an Adreno 830 GPU. Scoring around 3,000,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, this combination easily handles resource-intensive games and apps, and the frame rate is stable in Fortnite, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and similar titles at maximum graphics presets. Throttling is present with the powerful chipset, but it's still far from critical. The all-in-one PC doesn't get too hot after long gaming sessions. The 7000mAh battery (6400mAh in some regions) provides excellent battery life, lasting up to three days of active use. 80W wired charging is complemented by a 50W wireless option. 512GB/1024GB of storage is available, so the lack of a microSD card slot is no longer a concern.
The main 200MP Samsung sensor and 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom boast hybrid stabilization and well-tuned software. Photo and video detail are still slightly lower than those of full-fledged flagships, but the difference is only noticeable through direct comparisons. The 12-megapixel wide-angle lens is simpler than the cameras mentioned above, but it can still produce stunning daylight shots. Loud stereo sound, an IR port for controlling home appliances, NFC and 5G support, and IP68 water resistance round out the list of advantages of this technologically advanced, well-balanced, and reasonably priced device, making it a surefire winner.
