Honor Magic 3 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Honor Magic 3 Pro Overview
Honor Magic 3 Pro - a flagship too peculiar?
The Chinese company Honor, which is now a completely independent organization, continues to expand the range of products offered and tries to retain the rest of the audience. However, not all new smartphones of the corporation are able to compete on equal terms with counterparts from opponents both in functionality and in price. This fact, combined with the desire of the developer to at least somehow highlight the hero of today's review in terms of design, can play a cruel joke with the manufacturer.
The appearance of the phablet will turn out to be ambiguous. Not every buyer will like a massive block of photomodules, as well as a dual 13-megapixel front camera in the upper left corner of the screen. It occupies a noticeable display area and is striking. The excellent selfie quality only partially compensates for the situation. The body itself is made of glass and metal and has a rather ergonomic shape. However, the bezel-less AMOLED screen that goes to the side faces, although it looks incredibly stylish, increases the number of accidental touches of the touch panel. The 6.76-inch AMOLED panel is endowed with an unusual resolution of 2772x1344 pixels, sufficient for image clarity. The maximum brightness and contrast parameters for the type of matrix and the refresh rate of the picture of 120 hertz become other advantages of the AMOLED display.
The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor, Adreno 660 video accelerator and an impressive 8GB / 12GB RAM are selected for technical specifications. In this regard, the tracking of the gaming orientation of the device, because the specified combination effortlessly lends itself to the most resource-intensive games with the best graphics presets. However, if the gameplay remains smooth even during long gatherings in your favorite projects like Genshin Impact, then the heating of the back panel is immodest. In addition, the chipset does not offer outstanding power efficiency. This problem was fixed with a 4600mAh battery. Such a battery can withstand a day and a half of active use of the gadget, there is support for wireless charging at 50W . The size of the internal storage has been increased to 256 / 512GB , so there is clearly no need to complain about the lack of memory.
The main 50- (Sony IMX766), 64- (telephoto lens and black-and-white sensor) and 13-megapixel cameras are characterized by expensive lenses and optimized software, which could make an Android smartphone one of the best camera phones. But the most complex shooting scenarios, including mediocre lighting and increased dynamics of events, can be spoiled by blur due to the lack of optical stabilization at the main module. NFC contactless payments, full water protection ( IP68 ), impeccable for mobile devices stereo sound , an accurate in-screen fingerprint scanner and Android 11 add to the list of advantages of the device, however, the shortcomings of the exterior and photo capabilities, as well as the inflated price tag, will force many people to pay attention to more affordable alternatives.
