Honor Magic4 Pro Ultimate Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Honor Magic4 Ultimate Overview
Honor Magic4 Ultimate - too expensive perfection
The price range in which smartphones are today has expanded significantly. Flagship phones often cross the $1,000 mark due to constant improvements in features, performance, and more. The hero of today's review was no exception, but his price tag went even further. Is this gadget worth the cost? The question is extremely difficult.
The appearance of new items will appeal to every Android user. The circular design of high-tech photomodules, the ceramic back panel, dressed in metal edging, and the frameless 6.81-inch AMOLED display overlooking it make an excellent impression. A drop of negativity can only be presented by massive front-facing ( 12-megapixel lens and TOF-sensor) cameras that redeem this shortcoming with impeccable selfies. The picture produced by the AMOLED screen is endowed with top values of brightness and contrast at a resolution of 2848x1312 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Surprisingly, such a rich and smooth image does not fade in the sun, and even in complete darkness it still remains a treat for the eyes. A high-quality under-screen fingerprint scanner and an excellent oleophobic layer are a worthy addition to the above pluses.
Of course, the technical characteristics did not let us down either. Moreover, the developers managed to suppress the hot temper of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 CPU , which, together with 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 730 video core, now provides comfortable gameplay in all demanding games exclusively at maximum graphics settings. At the same time, the frame rate in almost all resource-intensive projects goes far beyond the standard 60 frames per second. The heating of the case is noticeable, but not critical. It is not easy to imagine a flagship without excellent autonomy. Two batteries with a total capacity of 4600mAh will have to be charged only once every one and a half days, the user can choose from 100W wired charging and its 50W wireless alternative. The ROM size has reached 512GB , so you definitely don’t need to be sad about the lack of a MicroSD slot.
Perhaps the strongest side of the device is its photo capabilities. The 50-megapixel Samsung GN2 main sensor and wide-angle module, the 64-megapixel telephoto lens (3.5x zoom) and the color filter sensor and TOF camera received 146 points and, as a result, the primacy of the DxOMark rating. Cameras succeed in any scenarios of photo shoots, getting a detailed picture when shooting moving objects or in pitch darkness will be a feasible task even for a novice photographer. Add to all of the above NFC contactless payment, work in 5G networks, moisture protection and amazing stereo sound to turn the device into a mobile assistant desired by millions of people. But a fairly inflated price will not allow most of the audience to purchase the considered Android smartphone.
