Honor X50 GT Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Honor X50 GT Overview
Honor X50 GT is a stunning mid-range smartphone
The Chinese company Honor decided to create an entire X50 line of phones that offer excellent functionality for their price. Almost every model in the series is an excellent replacement for flagships for budget-conscious fans of mobile electronics. The hero of today’s review will appeal to ordinary buyers, demanding gamers, and fans of stand-alone devices.
The new product does not disappoint with its appearance. The 6.78-inch frameless AMOLED display extends to the side edges, the rear glass panel pleases the eye with both a beautiful texture and a proprietary circle of photo modules. The fingerprint scanner is located under the glass of the AMOLED panel, it is quite accurate and responsive. They didn't skimp on the screen, which is noticeable in literally all of its parameters. The high resolution of 2652x1200 pixels, the current 120 Hz image refresh rate, the maximum brightness level exceeding 1500 nits and realistic rendering make it impossible to express any complaints about the displayed image.
The technical characteristics are also good. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, together with 12GB/16GB of RAM and the Adreno 730 video core, will help you get a smooth frame rate at the highest graphics settings, even in resource-intensive Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. At the same time, the chipset made using the 4nm process technology also has good energy efficiency. A 5800mAh battery allows you not to think about looking for power banks for about one and a half to two days. There is fast charging, but they saved a little on its power, so you will have to stay at the outlet for 90-100 minutes. The size of the permanent memory is an immodest 256/512/1024GB, so the lack of a slot for MicroSD cards does not seem to be a serious disadvantage.
The device is far from being a camera phone, but the main 108-megapixel sensor from Samsung is ready to create high-quality daytime pictures with decent detail and without an abundance of artifacts. Evening shots will not be as impressive due to the lack of optical stabilization, but in a number of situations the LED flash will help out. The stereo sound is loud, and the bass can be heard, so even musical compositions sound pleasant. NFC contactless payment and support for 5G networks are present, but the device released for the Chinese market did not receive FDD-LTE B7, which is why the performance of 4G networks in the CIS countries and Europe is not always ideal. But such a defect can easily be forgiven for an inexpensive and technologically advanced gadget.
