Honor X60 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Honor X60 Pro Overview
Honor X60 Pro - beauty not without flaws
The Chinese company Honor decided to seriously transform the range of smartphones in the mid-price segment at the end of the year. A number of models turned out to be really successful, but not without rather controversial units. So, the hero of today's review definitely has many strong points, but in some aspects it loses to its opponents.
The design of the new product turned out to be very competitive. The only thing you need to forgive the exterior is the abundance of plastic instead of metal and glass, everything else is excellent. Extremely thin display frames, a neat eye of a dual selfie camera, a fingerprint scanner built into the screen, a truly diverse range of colors of the back panels will appeal even to a sophisticated user. Unlike the "ordinary" version, the Pro variation received an almost 7-inch AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. It is much easier to work with it in direct sunlight. The image clarity at a resolution of 2700x1224 pixels is more than good, and the smoothness at a refresh rate of 120 Hz is impressive. There are no significant problems with color rendering.
But the technical characteristics could be more productive. The combination of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 CPU, 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM and the Adreno 710 graphics accelerator scores about 500 thousand points in the AnTuTu test. The Android 14 interface is responsive, applications open almost instantly, but in resource-intensive games like Fortnite you will have to limit yourself to low-medium graphics presets. Gamers may be unhappy with this given the price tag of the phablet. But the autonomy is beyond praise. A huge 6600 mAh battery guarantees more than 10-12 hours of active screen time. Fast charging has been increased to 66W, the desired 100% capacity can be seen in 45-50 minutes. There are variations of internal storage with 128/256/512GB of ROM to choose from.
The photographic capabilities of the only 108-megapixel main camera are somewhat puzzling. It is difficult to forgive both the lack of auxiliary sensors and only electronic stabilization. The latter factor is noticeably reflected in evening photos and video files. Detailing drops, noise, blur, white balance errors, and so on appear. But the stereo speakers do not fail, the sound is rich and loud, you will not be able to miss a notification. There is support for 5G networks, but there is no FDD-LTE B7, which is necessary for stable operation of 4G in Europe and the CIS. The focus of the device on the Chinese market has also brought several untranslated application services. And although these disadvantages will soon be corrected with the release of the international version of the device, it is difficult to definitely recommend it for purchase due to the mediocre camera and not the best chipset.
