The Chinese company Honor is gradually regaining its former position in the smartphone market, which pleases all fans of mobile devices. And if at first the manufacturer focused on increasing the competitiveness of more expensive products, now it has switched to more affordable phones. And it looks like the hero of today’s review has every chance of becoming a hit.

The appearance of the new product definitely needs to be included in its competitive advantages. It’s rare that an opponent in the price category is ready to boast an equally frameless display with an under-screen fingerprint scanner and a beautiful block of photo modules. The variety of colors of the rear panels is also wonderful. Perhaps the only thing that was saved on was the body materials. Polycarbonate is still inferior to tempered glass and metal both in terms of resistance to scratches and tactile sensations. The AMOLED screen received an impressive resolution of 2652x1200 pixels, an impressive image refresh rate of 120Hz and, until recently, a brightness reserve of 1400+ nits that was typical of flagships. The resulting image is clear, smooth, and does not lose visibility in direct sunlight.

The selection of technical characteristics was also good. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 CPU successfully combines good performance in the region of 500-550 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark and excellent energy efficiency. 8GB of RAM and the Adreno 710 video adapter help the chipset to prove itself in modern games. Thus, even the most resource-demanding games Genshin Impact, Diablo Immortal and Honkai: Star Rail will function smoothly at medium-high graphic settings. The device also surpasses its rivals in terms of autonomy thanks to its 5800 mAh battery. You only need to look for sockets once every couple of days, but you will have to stay at them for about an hour and a half (fast charging with a power of 35W). The size of the permanent memory has been increased to 256/512GB, there is no slot for MicroSD cards.

The photographic capabilities of the 108- (main module from Samsung), 5- (wide-angle lens) and 2-megapixel (portrait sensor) cameras are difficult to criticize, but they are far from ideal. The auxiliary photo modules are mediocre, but the main camera does not have optical stabilization, so evening shots are often spoiled by noise. Yes, and moving objects sometimes turn out blurry. Stereo sound is present, but there are no significant savings on it. The volume reaches 85-87db, bass can be heard. The phablet also received NFC contactless payments, modified Android 13, and an infrared port for controlling household appliances. Thus, there are no visible reasons to dissuade you from purchasing a technologically advanced and functional device.
