Huawei P50 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Huawei P50 Pro Overview
Huawei P50 Pro - the road is a spoon for dinner
Love for the Chinese company Huawei still lives in the hearts of millions of people around the world, but the long wait for the corporation to recover from sanctions and litigation made many fans of the brand pay attention to competitors' products. Will the hero of today's review be able to select part of the lost audience of his manufacturer or the release of the gadget took place too late?
The designers of the company were able to endow the exterior of the novelty with a number of original features. Even though two round blocks of photo modules look massive, they are capable of attracting the eyes of others in a split second. The completely bezel -less 6.6-inch AMOLED panel , along the entire perimeter turning to the side edges, also deserves compliments. Complementing the positive impression of the design is the metal and tempered glass of the slim, ergonomic body. The developer did not pursue excessive image clarity and set the display with a resolution of 2700 x 1228 pixels. This choice increases the autonomy of the device, the rest of the screen parameters in the form of brightness, contrast and picture refresh rate ( 120Hz ) are satisfactory. The in-screen fingerprint sensor works almost without errors.
Depending on the version of the phablet, the buyer receives either a processor from Qualcomm ( Snapdragon 888 with 8 / 12GB of RAM and an Adreno 660 video adapter), or a proprietary Kirin 9000 CPU (the same amount of RAM, a Mali-G78 MP24 video accelerator). Both solutions deliver extreme performance for Android devices, guaranteeing maximum graphics presets and a headroom of gaming power for the future. However, in both cases, throttling and not weak heating of the rear panel is observed. The energy efficiency of the chips is average, but thanks to the capacious 4360mAh battery, the user will count on a day of active use of the mobile assistant. In addition to fast charging at 66W, there is also its wireless counterpart at 50W. As a result, 100% of the capacity is recruited in about 40-50 minutes. Internal storage size increased to 128/256 / 512GB . A rare NanoMemory card slot for flagships is also present, expanding the ROM is quite possible.
The main 64-, 50-, 40- and 13-megapixel cameras have become the main competitive advantage of the unit. Advanced Hybrid IS, 3.5x optical and 200x digital zoom, plus expensive lenses and laser autofocus combine to deliver flawless photos and videos in virtually all lighting conditions. It's hard to find fault with detail, color reproduction, noise reduction and white balance. Full moisture protection ( IP68 ), contactless NFC payment, high-quality stereo sound will be additional incentives to buy a device, but an impressive price tag, the lack of Google services and the uniqueness of Harmony OS 2 can push away from its purchase. However, the smartphone still has chances of success to achieve which requires a very large-scale advertising campaign.
