Huawei Nova 13 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Huawei nova 13 Overview
Huawei nova 13 - not quite a successful middle class
The functionality of smartphones, their performance have improved significantly over the past few years. And the progress is especially noticeable in inexpensive phones. Even budget models today get cameras with OIS, 2K displays and other technological features. Unfortunately, the hero of today's review is deprived of many of them and at the same time is not deprived of its own serious shortcomings.
The appearance of the new product is better than that of many opponents. The designers were able to create a memorable texture and colors of the back panels made of tempered glass, an original dual camera unit, and please buyers with thin display frames. The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen has a built-in fingerprint scanner, boasts realistic color rendition, and not the most pronounced PWM effect. But the resolution of 2412x1084 pixels is not as impressive as before, and the brightness reserve could be higher than 1600 nits. However, the visibility of the image in direct sunlight is not the best.
The technical characteristics include the proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 8000 CPU, 8GB/12GB of RAM and the Mali G610 video adapter. The chipset resembles the well-known Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in its benchmark results (about 600,000 points in the AnTuTu test), and you can count on even medium-high graphics settings in many resource-intensive games like Zenless Zone Zero. But in terms of energy efficiency, the processor is weaker. A 5000 mAh battery will provide about a day of active use of the gadget, but you only need to be near the outlet for a ridiculous 20-25 minutes thanks to fast charging with a power of 100W. There is no slot for expanding the ROM, but the need for it is minimal with 256/512/1024 GB of permanent memory.
The photo capabilities of the main photo modules are not amazing. The main 50-megapixel sensor does not have optical stabilization, so for all its quality, night photos are not always distinguished by detail, a modest amount of noise. But daytime photo sessions are impressive in 99% of cases. Music lovers will be upset by the lack of both stereo sound and a separate headphone jack. NFC contactless payments are present, and some users will be pleased with the modem's support for 5G networks. However, the lack of Google services will definitely be a noticeable disappointment. Thus, the device is not very balanced for the requested price tag.
