Huawei Nova 13 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Huawei nova 13 Pro Overview
Huawei Nova 13 Pro - a problematic bestseller
The Chinese company Huawei is still going through hard times due to sanctions. The impossibility of officially using Google services noticeably affects the sales of the brand's products. Unfortunately, many recently released new products can hardly be considered ideal in terms of their technical characteristics and price tag. The hero of today's review was no exception to the rule.
The manufacturer's designers did an excellent job. Perhaps, the only thing that can be criticized is the plastic frame of the case, which collects small scratches. The almost completely frameless 6.76-inch screen, the tempered glass back panel with a memorable texture, the beautiful triple camera unit, and the ergonomic shape of the monoblock make the exterior very attractive. The AMOLED display is devoid of visible flaws. Minimal PWM effect, impressive clarity of the displayed content at a resolution of 2776x1224 pixels, a modern 120 Hz refresh rate, a flagship peak brightness of more than 4000 nits allows us to give the AMOLED panel an excellent rating.
But the situation with the processor is not so clear-cut. The proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 8000 is weak for the class of the device. The CPU with 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM and a Mali G610 graphics accelerator scores about 600 thousand points in AnTuTu, when some analogues from Qualcomm and MediaTek demonstrate more than a million points. Of course, the buyer will not be left without the latest games, but in the same Genshin Impact, you will have to limit yourself to average graphics presets. Autonomy is not outstanding, but acceptable. The 5000mAh battery lasts about a day, and you can reach full capacity in 35-40 minutes thanks to fast charging at 100W. The internal storage is 256/512/1024GB, there is no slot for expanding the ROM.
The Pro version is much more interesting in terms of photographic capabilities. A 12-megapixel telephoto lens with a three-fold optical zoom has appeared, it, together with the main 50-megapixel sensor, is equipped with hybrid stabilization. The 8-megapixel wide-angle camera also shows itself well, although it is clearly the weakest of the trio. Even evening photos are mostly detailed, without excess noise. The 60 and 8-megapixel selfie cameras do not fail either. The stereo sound is rich, pleasant to the ear, among the advantages we also highlight the presence of contactless payment NFC and support for 5G networks. But the above-mentioned problem with Google services will be serious for many users. Also, someone will not like the lack of wireless charging and full moisture protection. Thus, we have a good, but definitely not the best representative of the price category.
