Infinix GT 50 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Infinix GT 50 Pro Overview
Infinix GT 50 Pro – Aggressive Gaming Experience
The Chinese company Infinix is one of the few companies creating mid-range gaming smartphones. And we're not just talking about phones with decent technical specifications for their price point, but full-fledged console replacements with touch-sensitive trigger keys, improved cooling, and additional software. And the subject of today's review is precisely that device. Moreover, it's significantly more appealing than its predecessor in a number of ways.
The new device's appearance is extremely attractive. While it still lacks a metal frame and IP68 water resistance, the tempered glass back panel has a beautiful texture, a modern camera module, trendy RGB lighting, and the thin bezels with a built-in fingerprint scanner are also highly commendable. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 2720x1224 pixels, ensuring excellent image clarity. Thanks to AI, peak brightness can reach 4500 nits, ensuring the device is perfectly usable in direct sunlight. The flagship 144 Hz refresh rate, natural color reproduction, and oleophobic coating further enhance the AMOLED panel experience.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor, 12 GB of RAM, and Mali G720 MC7 graphics accelerator are a powerful combination that, at a reasonable price, allows for stable Android 16 performance, an AnTuTu score of approximately 1,800,000, and the ability to run any resource-intensive game at or near maximum graphics settings. The frame rate remains high, and battery life has also improved. The 6500mAh battery easily provides up to 10-12 hours of active screen time. Surprisingly, there are both wired (45W) and wireless (30W) charging options. There's also 256GB/512GB of internal storage.
Of course, the phablet has some cost-cutting, especially in its photography capabilities. There's no telephoto lens among the auxiliary modules, and the 8-megapixel wide-angle lens isn't up to the task of handling complex shooting scenarios. But at least the main 50-megapixel sensor with hybrid image stabilization is decent. Evening photo sessions should be avoided due to noise and blur in the resulting images, but daytime photos and videos are much better. Stereo sound isn't top-notch, but everything is loud and rich enough. NFC contactless payments, 5G support, and partial IP64 dust and moisture protection make the device competitive and simply a good buy for the price.
