Letv S1 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
LeTV S1 Overview
LeTV S1 - unexpected but weak return
The Chinese company LeTV was just a few years ago one of the leaders in the industry, but numerous lawsuits due to the peculiar behavior of the organization's management actually led to its bankruptcy. But after a long period of time, the corporation found the strength for a partial recovery and even created the hero of today's review, which is aimed at the line of low and medium price segments of the market. Unfortunately, the new product is far from its legendary predecessors.
The appearance of the phone is not remembered. Cheap plastic body materials, a huge bottom display bezel, an outdated rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and an 8MP selfie camera let the device get lost in an abundance of similar alternatives. The 6.53-inchIPS screen is also mediocre. The resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels testifies to the low definition of the displayed image, the brightness and contrast parameters given out also do not deserve compliments, since the image completely fades in direct sunlight.
The technical characteristics could distinguish the phablet among the opponents, but the Unisoc TigerT7510 CPU, 6GB ofRAM and the PowerVR GM9446 video adapter do not represent anything supernatural. Tasks such as surfing the web, launching social networking applications or photo editors are completely subject to the mentioned bundle, but gamers can comfortably enjoy only not the most demanding games. Projects like Fortnite or Genshim Impact are better left to their more productive counterparts, since lags will appear even with minimal graphics presets. But the manufacturer did not save on the amount of internal memory and brought it up to 128GB while retaining the MicroSD slot.
48- and 2-megapixel (pair) cameras also do not reveal the gadget from the positive side. These are fairly simple modules for daytime shooting, which, at the same time, are contraindicated in the dynamics of the events taking place. Otherwise, it is easy to get a lot of blurry objects. Evening photo sessions have a negative impact on the amount of noise. There is no stereo sound, as well as NFC contactless payments, Google services. Thus, in the obvious advantages of an Android smartphone, it will be possible to include exclusively support for 5G networks and an impressive autonomy of a day and a half of active interaction with a mobile assistant. The last point is the merit of the 4900mAh battery. As a result, we have before us a completely unremarkable device, the purchase of which is unlikely to cause delight.
