Meizu 21 Note Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Meizu 21 Note Overview
Meizu 21 Note - an unrealized bestseller
The Chinese company Meizu has disappeared from the radar of all fans of mobile electronics for a long time, but its attempts to return to the arena do not stop. The corporation found funding for the release of several phones of different price segments at once, and some models turned out to be quite competitive. The hero of today's review also belongs to them, but its official launch outside of China is still in great question.
The appearance of the new product deserves only compliments. The rear glass panel is equally beautiful in both white and black colors, the dual camera unit with a bright ring of LEDs also turned out to be successful. The display is close to the title of frameless, it also acquired a built-in fingerprint scanner. Even the plastic edging stylized as metal does not cause negativity. The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel is almost flagship in its performance. The excellent resolution of 2780x1264 pixels for the diagonal is harmoniously combined with the top 144-hertz refresh rate, natural color rendition, minimal PWM effect and peak brightness of as much as 5000 nits.
The technical specifications did not disappoint either. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 16 GB of RAM and the Adreno 740 video core look amazing in a gadget at the turn of the middle and high cost categories. 1,300,000 points in the AnTuTu test indicate the chipset's ability to run all modern games with graphics settings close to maximum. The Android 14 interface is smooth, with minimal lags. The CPU energy efficiency has been tested in almost hundreds of devices, and the 5500 mAh battery will ultimately provide up to a couple of days of active use of the compact assistant. The permanent memory is allocated 256/512 GB of UFS 4.0 format.
The main photo modules are a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 with hybrid stabilization and a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens. They cope with their duties perfectly, offering detailed pictures without an abundance of artifacts even in the evening. There is no telephoto lens, so sometimes you will have to approach the objects yourself for a high-quality photo. The stereo sound is quite loud and balanced. There are also contactless NFC payments, and support for 5G frequencies, and even an IR port for controlling household appliances. But there are also significant disadvantages. The FlymeOS shell lags behind the competitors in functionality, there is no FDD-LTE B7, which is important for the operation of 4G networks in Europe and the CIS, there are untranslated applications and services for the Middle Kingdom. And it is very difficult to buy a device today. It is for these reasons that an extremely good device will not become an international hit.
