Motorola Edge 50 Neo Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Motorola Edge 50 Neo Overview
Motorola Edge 50 Neo - elite middle class
In fact, the Chinese company Motorola has already chosen an interesting tactic for mid-budget smartphones. These devices, of course, do not catch up with their truly flagship counterparts in terms of performance and photo capabilities, but they try to be similar to top models in design and functionality. The hero of today's review is proof of this.
The appearance of the new product is extremely relevant. Matte textures of durable cases with moisture protection according to IP68 standards, stylized stone protective cases, a variety of colors for the back panels, the original design of the triple camera, thin display frames with a built-in fingerprint sensor will give an exclusively positive impression of the exterior. The use of a small by today's standards 6.4-inch AMOLED display has improved the ergonomics of the device. The displayed image has an impressive resolution of 2670x1220 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate, excellent maximum brightness of 3000 nits and the presence of an oleophobic layer. Color rendering is also not bad.
The technical characteristics are not so surprising, but there will be no disappointment from the combination of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 8 GB / 12 GB RAM and the Mali G615MC2 graphics adapter. It scores more than 650 thousand points in the AnTuTu test, copes well with all existing games and applications. Only the most resource-demanding Genshin Impact, Fortnite, Honkai: Star Rail will require medium-high graphics settings. A relatively modest 4310 mAh battery, thanks to the energy efficiency of the chipset, gives up to 7-8 hours of active screen time. There is both a wired charger (68W) and a wireless alternative with a power of 15W. The permanent memory is 256/512 GB, there is no slot for MicroSD cards.
The photographic capabilities of the gadget are excellent within the price category. The main 50-megapixel Sony LYT700C sensor with hybrid stabilization, a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens and even a 10-megapixel telephoto lens (three-fold optical zoom) allow you to take a high-quality photo even in poor lighting or at a significant distance from the photographer. Stereo sound is present, it is quite loud, and the bass is also audible. NFC contactless payments, a gyroscope, and 5G support are also in place. As a result, we have an extremely balanced device that will definitely find its buyer.
