Motorola Moto G14 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Motorola Moto G14 Overview
Motorola Moto G14 - balanced and non-original
Smartphone manufacturers today sometimes have a hard time, because in addition to competition in the market is intensifying, and the audience is becoming more and more sophisticated. So, if earlier an inexpensive gadget required a minimum of functionality and satisfactory performance, now the list of customer needs has increased significantly. Unfortunately, the hero of today's review does not always correspond to him.
The appearance of the novelty is good within the price category. Beautiful colors of ergonomically shaped cases, an 8-megapixel selfie camera located at the top of the IPS panel, a modern dual camera unit, and a fingerprint scanner on the side face immediately catch your eye. The display bezels are also not wide, with the exception of the “chin” located at the bottom. The 6.5-inch IPS screen itself is pretty basic. The resolution is low (1600x720 pixels), the picture refresh rate is standard, namely 60Hz. On the other hand, the brightness level is decent, if desired, the image can be viewed under direct sunlight.
The technical characteristics are the UNISOC Tiger T616 CPU, 4GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC1 video core. It's not a bad decision, but the older T618 chip would definitely be better in games. With the existing bundle, we get a smooth Android 13 interface, fairly fast application launch and comfortable gameplay in projects like Call Of Duty, PUBG Mobile. But Genshin Impact and similar resource-intensive titles will have to be run on minimal graphic presets and sometimes with noticeable jamming. With energy efficiency and, as a result, autonomy, the situation is unproblematic. A 5000 mAh battery will ask you to find the nearest outlet only after a couple of days of working with a mobile assistant. But you need to stay near it for more than two hours because of the charging power of a modest 15W. The internal storage is allocated 128GB, if necessary, it can be increased with MicroSD cards.
The 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor has long been the standard in the low-mid price segment. The photomodule makes it possible to count on detailed daytime shots without noise that is unpleasant to the eye, but for evening shooting it is already poorly suited. Dynamic events also do not always turn out clear in the photo. The sound suddenly pleased, stereo speakers allow you to comfortably listen to even instrumental tracks. There is a jack for wired headphones, but for some reason the developer decided to save money on NFC. But it was this function, coupled with a high-performance processor and a more interesting IPS display, that could make the device a real hit.
