Motorola Moto G51 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Motorola Moto G51 Overview
Motorola Moto G51 - chasing competitors
Over the past few years, Motorola has managed to declare itself with a number of successful smartphones, but the corporation has not yet gained its former glory and, moreover, the leading position in the market. The reason for this is both a mediocre marketing campaign and an abundance of openly pass-through phones. The predecessors of the hero of today's review did not become bestsellers, but it is he who has the chance to rectify the situation.
The design of the novelty has undergone a number of important changes. First, the 16MP front-facing camera has an updated form factor and is now located in the corner of the screen. Secondly, the width of the display bezels has decreased, although not dramatically. Of the minuses, we note the not very convenient fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, the widespread use of inexpensive glossy plastic, prone to scratches. The 6.6-inch IPS-display has added to the image clarity thanks to a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, and the smoothness of the displayed content has also improved at an OGS-screen refresh rate of 120 hertz. Brightness and contrast are more difficult to praise, because a number of opponents with AMOLED panels cope better with direct sunlight.
Technical characteristics are not satisfactory. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset is not outdated yet, it offers support for 5G networks, performance at 350,000 points in the Antutu benchmark, and quite modest power consumption. 4GB / 6GB of RAM and the Adreno 619 video adapter do everything necessary for the CPU to satisfy the needs of both ordinary users and gamers. Most resource-intensive projects are available with medium-high graphics presets, only the most demanding exceptions like Genshin Impact will ask for a lower graphics setting. The 5000 mAh battery does not differ in ultra-fast charging, but you will not have to look for outlets often, because the battery gives out about a dozen hours of active screen time. 64 / 128GB of ROM with a microSD slot eliminate the lack of memory for storing information.
Providing decent photo capabilities for the price category is a concern of the 64-, 8- and 2-megapixel main cameras. The modules will take excellent daytime photos, which will not always be easy to distinguish from those of the flagships. Of course, only with electronic stabilization and without high-quality lenses, you won't be able to achieve the same detail and color balance in the evening. A pair of speakers , not deprived of volume, are responsible for the sound, other advantages of the gadget will be contactless NFC payments and a reasonable, albeit not a record price. Thus, the device deserves, if not the title of a hit, then worthy sales.
