Motorola Moto G73 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Motorola Moto G73 5G Overview
Motorola Moto G73 5G - unusual, but sometimes not the most successful solutions
Over the past few years, Motorola has repeatedly delighted the audience of the smartphone market with many excellent phones. And although the most interesting models often remained inside China, users from Europe and the CIS were also able to get an abundance of competitive devices. However, there were quite strange units in the range of products offered, along with obvious advantages, and having visible disadvantages. The hero of today's review belongs to this category.
In terms of design, the novelty is weaker than its closest rivals. Of course, there are winning aspects in the exterior, such as the beautiful colors of the rear panels, the attractive design of the dual camera and the side fingerprint scanner, but the impression is spoiled by the inexpensive plastic case, wide screen bezels (especially the bottom one). Not amazing and 6.5-inch IPS-display. The brightness and contrast parameters are inferior to those of modern AMOLED panels, the combination of FullHD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate does not save the picture from low visibility of content in direct sunlight.
With technical characteristics, the situation is noticeably better. The latest MediaTek Dimensity 930 processor, 8GB of RAM and IMG BXM-8-256 video accelerator score over 500 thousand points in the famous AnTuTu benchmark and guarantee the smoothness of the Android 13 interface. Gamers will not be left without their favorite games with medium-high graphics presets. Even resource-demanding Fortnite, Genshin Impact, will not be included in the list of exceptions. The current chipset is also characterized by remarkable energy efficiency. A 5000 mAh battery rarely shows less than 8-9 hours of active screen time with a day and a half of device operation. The size of the internal memory has reached the flagship 256GB. But if this amount of ROM is not enough, then you can always use MicroSD cards.
The main 50- and 8-megapixel photomodules are unlikely to delight fans of high-quality photography. If the 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with autofocus is really good, then the 50-megapixel main camera without optical stabilization is ready to give detail and natural color reproduction of shots only during the day. Evening photo sessions will upset both noises and blurs. There is also a strong ghosting effect on videos taken in low light. But the stereo speakers are loud, even in volume, they even reproduce the bass. NFC contactless payments and support for 5G networks are not superfluous features for the buyer, however, other opponents of the gadget in the price segment also have them. Thus, we have a rather mediocre device, which is not difficult to find an excellent alternative.
