Oppo K13 Turbo Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OPPO K13 Turbo Overview
OPPO K13 Turbo - a half-gaming half-hit
The Chinese company Oppo often experiments. Some of them are very successful and bring the corporation impressive profits, while others remain misunderstood by the audience and without commercial success. The hero of today's review is somewhere between the two specified categories, because it combines both serious competitive advantages and obvious shortcomings.
The appearance of the new product is quite bright and memorable. A stylish block of cameras with a green border, eye-pleasing body colors, thin screen frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner look attractive, and there is also moisture protection according to the IPX9 standard. The 6.8-inch AMOLED display is slightly better than that of its opponents. There is also a high resolution of 2800x1280 pixels for the price segment, and a 120-Hz refresh rate, thanks to which the picture is detailed and smooth. The peak brightness of 1600 cd/m2 is generally sufficient for working with a mobile assistant in the sun, the developer has not forgotten the oleophobic coating and the fight against the PWM effect, which is hated by many.
Special attention should be paid to the technical characteristics. The MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor, 12GB/16GB of RAM and the Mali G720-MC7 video adapter are not so far from the result of two million points in the AnTuTu test, the bundle can be considered gaming. What is really important is the presence of an active cooling system. As a result, the heating of the monoblock is reduced to zero, there is no throttling, the frame rate is stable even after hours of gameplay. There is no need to worry about autonomy either. The battery capacity is 7000 mAh, it is enough for a couple of days of interaction with the gadget. Fast charging received a power of as much as 80 W. There is no shortage of permanent memory (256/512 GB).
But where the savings are clearly visible is in the photographic capabilities. The main 50 and 2-megapixel photo modules without optical stabilization are still capable of high-quality daytime shooting, but evening shots simply turn into an abundance of noise, blur and other artifacts. There is no stereo sound, which is disappointing. One speaker is not the worst, you can even hear the bass. There is also a gyroscope, IR port, contactless payments NFC. However, mediocre cameras, the lack of the same trigger keys when the device is aimed cast doubt on its future bestseller status.
