Oppo Reno14 F 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OPPO Reno14 F 5G Overview
OPPO Reno14 F 5G - a classic for the people
The Chinese company Oppo often resorts to various kinds of experiments in the smartphone market, and many of the innovative or simply extraordinary models find a response in the hearts of millions of users. But sometimes a well-known developer decides not to take risks and release a balanced, understandable, affordable gadget, albeit devoid of innovative features or individuality. And the hero of today's review belongs to such devices.
The appearance of the new product is not bad for the price segment, reminiscent of that of the brand's flagships. Similar colors of the rear panels, modern design of the photo module block, not the widest screen frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner and moisture protection according to IP69 standards will please literally every buyer. But the plastic edging is slightly disappointing, in terms of tactile sensations and strength it does not reach the metal one. The AMOLED display is not top-end, but without obvious drawbacks. The resolution of 2376x1080 pixels provides detailed image output, its smoothness is high at a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Color rendering errors are far from critical, peak brightness is close to 2000 nits, which is decent.
Technical specifications are not stellar. But for 99% of people, the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM and Adreno 710 video accelerator will be enough. The bundle scores about 600 thousand AnTuTu points, copes with rendering the Android 15 interface, launching all resource-intensive games. Of course, you can't count on maximum graphics presets in the same Genshin Impact, but at medium settings the frame rate is stable. The battery capacity is 6000 mAh, which means the autonomy is excellent. 10-12 hours of active screen time will be commonplace. Fast charging is also characteristic of the battery, its power was 45W. The size of the permanent memory reached 256/512 GB with a slot for MicroSD cards.
The photo capabilities implemented in the device are not amazing, but social networks will not leave you without artistic photography. It is recommended not to pay attention to the auxiliary 8 and 2-megapixel sensors, but the main 50-megapixel module Sony IMX882 with hybrid stabilization feels good even in the evening shooting. Of course, noise and blur will be present, but they are noticeable mainly when cropping. There is stereo sound, although it is not as loud and voluminous as that of flagship analogs. Contactless payments NFC, support for 5G networks are additional advantages of an interesting mid-budget device, the purchase of which is quite justified.
