OUKITEL C57 Pro - too cheap

The Chinese company Oukitel decided to update the range of its cheapest smartphones, but the resulting models raise numerous questions. So, the hero of today's review is definitely a success in terms of design, but has many problems with other parameters.

As mentioned above, the new product looks no worse than its opponents. A beautiful block of photo modules, combined with a fingerprint scanner, interesting color solutions of the rear panels made of polycarbonate look quite decent. It's just a pity that sometimes instead of a fingerprint sensor, the user will press the camera. Among the advantages, we will also highlight a separate headphone jack, but the disadvantages of the exterior will be not the narrowest screen frames, as well as the outdated design of the 5-megapixel selfie camera. The 6.52-inch IPS panel is unlikely to cause positive emotions. The extremely modest resolution of 1280x576 pixels is not enough for image clarity; 720p video will not be available on YouTube or other services. The increased image refresh rate is also forgotten; the peak brightness was an insignificant 500 nits. Direct sunlight reduces the visibility of content to zero.

The technical characteristics include the UNISOC SC9863A CPU, 4GB of RAM and the PowerVR GE8322 video core. The bundle will not amaze you with its performance; it is barely enough to play the Android 14 interface. You will have to forget about more or less resource-intensive games; even long-standing projects like World Of Tanks Blitz will require minimal graphics settings. The battery life is also not impressive. The battery capacity is 4300 mAh instead of the usual 5000, so you need to look for sockets almost every day. Fast charging is not provided. Perhaps, the size of the permanent memory should be praised, which reached 128 GB with a slot for MicroSD cards.

The main 13 and 0.3-megapixel photo sensors at least have autofocus and an LED flash, so you can hope for successful document capture. There is a chance of creating high-quality daytime photos, but it is not considered great. There is no stereo sound, for some reason there are no contactless payments NFC. Thus, due to the desire to reduce the cost, the functionality of the device, the IPS screen and other indicators suffered greatly, so you should consider buying it last.
