OUKITEL C58 PRO Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OUKITEL C58 Pro Overview
OUKITEL C58 Pro - a good, but far from ideal option
It is difficult to deny the Chinese company Oukitel the ability to quickly expand the range of products offered. Every year, users receive literally dozens of new models aimed at completely different audience members. The hero of today's review will suit people with a limited budget who need a balanced mobile assistant without obvious disadvantages. However, the gadget does not have as many advantages as we would like.
The appearance of the device turned out to be memorable and beautiful. Reasonable in thickness for an IPS display frames, original textures of the rear panels, a side fingerprint scanner, a neat dual camera unit and high-quality plastic case leave a positive impression of the design. The 6.7-inch IPS screen is more controversial. The HD+ resolution is not suitable for the diagonal used, the displayed image sometimes seems to crumble into individual pixels. The brightness reserve of about 550 nits is also small, which makes it problematic to work with the device in direct sunlight. But there are also advantages in the form of natural color rendition and image smoothness at a 90 Hz refresh rate.
The technical characteristics are presented as standard for the cost segment: UNISOC Tiger T606 CPU, 6 GB of RAM and Mali G57MC1 video accelerator. The bundle is still relevant, the performance is sufficient for both the responsive functioning of the Android 14 interface and 250,000 points in the AnTuTu test. You shouldn't count on flagship gaming capabilities. Undemanding games work perfectly, but resource-intensive projects like Genshin Impact will disappoint with a low and unstable frame rate even with minimal graphics settings. The battery is quite capacious (5160 mAh), due to which in 99% of cases, autonomy of 8-10 hours of active screen time is achieved. The presence of a slot for MicroSD memory cards and 256 GB of ROM is also pleasing. A minor reason for frustration may be the charging power, which reached only 10 W.
The main 50 and 0.08-megapixel photo modules are a good tool for capturing documents, stationary objects in daylight. It is recommended to leave other shooting scenarios for other smartphones. The sound of the only speaker is not loud, there is practically no bass, but for music lovers, a jack for wired headphones is left. NFC contactless payments are present, which greatly simplifies the payment for goods in hypermarkets. As a result, the phone can hardly be considered unsuccessful, but there are more interesting alternatives in the price category.
