OUKITEL G1 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OUKITEL G1 Overview
OUKITEL G1 - a repeat with deterioration
The Chinese company Oukitel likes to repeatedly re-release successful smartphones with minor changes in technical characteristics. This is how the manufacturer expands the range of products and covers an impressive number of users. The hero of today's review is 99% a duplicate of the previously released WP28 phone, but has a slightly lower price tag. How did the cost of the device decrease? Let's figure it out.
The appearance of the new product has not changed. Among the disadvantages of the exterior, we highlight the standard for dust and moisture protection according to IP68 standards, huge display frames and an impressive thickness of the rubberized case. The device is definitely not suitable for the beautiful half of humanity due to its dimensions. The advantages of the design include a side fingerprint scanner, a beautiful round block of photo modules, strict and at the same time pleasing to the eye colors of the rear panels. The 6.52-inch IPS screen is frankly inexpensive. The HD+ resolution is not the best for the diagonal, small fonts sometimes seem blurry, there is no increased refresh rate, and the peak brightness of 500 nits does not provide comfortable work with the unit in direct sunlight.
The UNISOC Tiger T606 processor began to function with 6 GB instead of 8 GB of RAM, but this had almost no effect on performance. The interface is now Android 14, smooth and quite responsive, applications launch relatively quickly. The gaming capabilities are not flagship, but it is quite possible to while away a few hours in World Of Tanks Blitz or PUBG Mobile. But in more resource-intensive projects like Genshin Impact, you need to put up with minimal graphic presets and lags. The permanent memory is still 256 GB, which, together with the MicroSD card slot, eliminates any problems with the volume of internal storage.
The 48 and 2-megapixel main cameras are not outstanding, but their photo capabilities are enough for more than just capturing text. Daytime photos are not deprived of detail, there are exposure errors, but they are not critical. There is no stereo sound, but music lovers will be able to connect their favorite wired headphones to the device. The battery life offered by the 10800 mAh battery reaches 3-4 days. Unfortunately, the charging power is only 18 W, so it is better to leave the mobile assistant near the outlet overnight. NFC contactless payments are left, so the shopping process in hypermarkets will be convenient and instant. As a result, we have an old familiar gadget, which at a reduced price is even more attractive.
