The famous Chinese company OnePlus did not stay away from the creation of compact smartphones. The developer decided that the market audience would not mind buying a small, but extremely productive and functional flagship, which differs from its older brothers in fact only in size. And we believe that the manufacturer's decision is extremely correct.

The appearance of the new product copies the design concept of previous generation models. The circle of photo modules familiar to fans of the brand is in place, the rear panels are made of high-quality tempered glass and edged in metal. Water protection according to IP68 standards has not disappeared, thanks to which you can take photos with the gadget even under water. The frames of the 6.3-inch display are not considered wide, but due to the reduction in the case, they seem larger. The AMOLED panel itself does not disappoint with the clarity of the image thanks to the excellent resolution of 2772x1240 pixels and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. Of course, the flagship screen could not do without a 120-Hz refresh rate, precise color calibration, and a high-quality under-screen fingerprint sensor.

The technical characteristics include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB/16GB of RAM, and the Adreno 830 video accelerator. This is a very high-performance bundle that offers record results in AnTuTu and Geekbench benchmarks, and fantastically responsive Android 15 (OxygenOS shell), and smooth gameplay with maximum graphics presets in all released and future games. Of course, the frame rate is always equal to or exceeds 60FPS. There is throttling due to the design features of the unit, but it is insignificant, usually manifested in synthetic tests. Autonomy is not bad, the 5000 mAh battery gives about 7-8 hours of screen time, supports fast wired (100 W) and wireless (50 W) charging. Of course, there are no problems with the internal storage, the size of which reaches 256 GB / 512 GB / 1024 GB of UFS 4.1 format.

Photo capabilities are close to those of camera phones due to the use of the main 50-megapixel Sony IM906 sensor and a 50 MP telephoto lens with three-fold optical zoom, equipped with hybrid stabilization. These modules are ready even for complex shooting scenarios like evening photo shoots of dynamic events. But the 8-megapixel wide-angle lens evokes rather negative emotions. Stereo sound has enough richness and volume, and from the additional advantages we highlight the proprietary volume rocker, NFC contactless payments, 5G and eSIM support. So, we have a very competitive phone in front of us, worthy of the attention of any electronics lover.
