OnePlus 13R Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus 13R Overview
OnePlus 13R - a sub-flagship without serious simplifications
The Chinese company OnePlus does not change tradition and again surprises its loyal fans with a number of balanced and technologically advanced smartphones in the highest price segment. And if the older model is aimed at the richest electronics enthusiasts, then the hero of today's review will allow you to save money and get impressive functionality.
The appearance of the new product is truly flagship. The extremely thin display frames around the entire perimeter awaken exclusively positive emotions, and the presence of an accurate and large under-screen fingerprint scanner is also pleasing. The edging is made of metal, and there is also a proprietary volume mode switch. The back panel is made of tempered glass, it is beautiful in both gray and gold colors. The photo module block also looks modern. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display has an optimal resolution of 2780x1264 pixels for the selected diagonal, an excellent 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive maximum brightness of 4500 nits. A bright, clear and smooth picture would not be so attractive without natural color rendition. Of course, the effectiveness of the oleophobic layer does not cause any complaints.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset migrated from last year's leader of the line and, together with 12 GB / 16 GB of RAM and the Adreno 750 graphics core, still easily copes with all resource-intensive processes. The OxygenOS shell based on Android 15, thought out to the smallest detail, is incredibly responsive, and gamers will immerse themselves in the infinitely huge open worlds of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail at the highest graphics presets. At the same time, the frame rate exceeds 60 frames per second and impresses with stability. There is almost no throttling, the CPU energy efficiency is not disappointing. It is easy to get more than 9-10 hours of active screen time from a 6000 mAh battery. Unfortunately, there is no wireless charging, but at least its wired counterpart has a good power of 80 W (45-50 minutes to 100% capacity). The permanent memory is allocated 256/512 GB of UFS 4.0 format.
The photo capabilities of the main cameras will satisfy even sophisticated mobile photographers. The main 50-megapixel Sony LYT700C sensor with hybrid stabilization, a telephoto lens with a 2x optical zoom of the same 50 MP and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens provide quite a lot of space for daytime and evening photo sessions, the result of which will invariably be detailed pictures without excess artifacts. Stereo sound does not disappoint with the balanced frequency response, it is quite loud. Also, the list of advantages is expanded by support for 5G networks, an IR port, contactless payment NFC, partial moisture protection according to IP65 standards. As a result, the gadget deserves attention with its democratic price tag.
