OnePlus 9T Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus 9T Pro Overview
OnePlus 9T Pro - controversial metamorphosis
Improving an already great smartphone is not an easy test, even for the best manufacturers. Changes in the new flagship should be visible to the naked eye and at the same time really important for most of the audience, while the price tag of the novelty must remain the same. The hero of today's review fulfills these rules only partially, but is it really that bad?
The appearance of the device is similar to that of its predecessor, but it is difficult not to notice the additional AMOLED screen on the rear glass panel. With it, selfies can be taken not only to the front 32-megapixel camera, but also to the block of main photo modules. The display has practically no other functionality, only the time and a number of notifications are displayed on it. The metal edging, the completely frameless main 6.7-inchAMOLED panel beautifully fits the side edges, the body colors are also pleasing to the eye. Displayed at 3216x1440 pixels, the picture is very rich and bright, its smoothness is also excellent thanks to the refresh rate of 120hertz . The quality of the oleophobic coating will not cause any complaints.
With technical characteristics, everything is more complicated. The Qualcomm Snapdragon888Plus processor is theoretically more productive than the previous chipset, but the problems of excessive heating and throttling not only did not disappear, but even worsened somewhat. Long gaming sessions in Fortnite and Genshin Impact can lead to a red-hot gadget and lower frequency rates. Of course, this situation is relevant only with the maximum graphics settings, but seeing this in the flagship phablet is not particularly pleasant. But the autonomy has grown thanks to the use of a 5000mAh battery, equipped with a 65W quick charge. The battery provides a day and a half of active use of the phone, it takes only 40-45 minutes to charge it to 100% capacity. Do not forget about 8GB / 12GB ofRAM and the "overclocked" video adapter Adreno 660. Of course, 128/256 / 512GB of internal storage in UFS 3.1 format deserve praise.
48-, 50-, 13- and 2-megapixel photo modules have not made a leap in photographic capabilities. A 5x optical zoom has appeared, hybrid stabilization has been slightly improved. As a result, we get the same brilliant daytime shooting and quite good detail and color reproduction in evening shots. Excellent stereo sound will appeal to most Android users, as well as thoughtful OxygenOS (Europe) and ColorOS (China) skins based on Android 12, support for 5G networks, and NFC contactless payments. In addition, the device is not deprived of such technological features as wirelesscharging and protection against dust and moisture according to IP68 standards. Thus, the owners of the previous model should not pay attention to the updated Android smartphone, but for other users its purchase is highly recommended.
