OnePlus Ace 3V Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus Ace 3V Overview
OnePlus Ace 3V - what the sub-flagship of 2024 should be like
The Chinese company OnePlus has been delighting us with excellent smartphones in the mid- and high-price segments for more than a decade. The manufacturer magically continues to maintain a fantastic price-quality ratio for its products, and sometimes even increases it. The hero of today's review clearly demonstrates all the capabilities of the developer and is ready to compete with the best representatives of the value category.
The appearance of the new product is nothing short of delightful; it is noticeably better than its predecessors in the line. The display frames are extremely thin along the entire perimeter, the glass panel is distinguished by a stylish block of photomodules that almost does not protrude from the body. An under-screen fingerprint scanner also enhances the attractiveness of the exterior. Unfortunately, the edging remains plastic, which affects the tactile sensations of the device. But the 6.74-inch AMOLED panel is devoid of even the slightest roughness. A resolution of 2772x1240 pixels brings picture clarity to flagship levels, a brightness reserve of more than 2000 nits, excellent smoothness at a 120 Hz image refresh rate, and perfectly calibrated color reproduction. Of course, there is also an effective oleophobic coating even on the included protective film.
The approach to technical specifications is also impressive. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor combines near-top performance (1,350,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark) and amazing energy efficiency. 12GB/16GB of RAM and the Adreno 732 video adapter only add to the power of the chipset, which even handles Honkai: Star Rail, Fortnite and Genshin Impact without any problems. Of course, you can set even the maximum graphic presets in these projects. The battery has an impressive capacity of 5500 mAh, thanks to which the battery life sometimes reaches 10 hours of active screen time. Wireless charging was left for more expensive models in the range, but the power of the wired analogue was increased to 100W. You need to stay at the outlet for about 30-35 minutes. There are no savings on internal storage either. It will please you with its capacity of 256/512GB and the speed of writing and reading (UFS 4.0 format).
There are only two main cameras, so fans of telephoto lenses will be disappointed. But the main 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 module with a sophisticated hybrid stabilization system and a good 8-megapixel sensor perform well both during daytime and evening shooting. The frames have excellent detail, noise reduction works without any visible drawbacks. Of course, the color rendition of the photographs does not fail either. Stereo sound is available, its volume reaches 90dB, the frequency response is quite flat. NFC contactless payments, proprietary ColorOS shell based on Android 14, 5G support - everything is in place, but still the list of shortcomings will be supplemented by the absence of FDD-LTE B7 and B20. Without them, 4G performance in Europe and the CIS countries is not always ideal. However, if such a defect does not scare you away from buying a technologically advanced and beautiful device, then you will receive only positive emotions from it.
