OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Overview
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra - an additional sub-flagship
The Chinese company OnePlus decided to expand the Ace line of smartphones with another model this year. And it seems that the developers managed to find an excellent balance between price and quality of the product, because the new product is relatively inexpensive, and at the same time can please with top performance, proprietary design, impressive battery life and an abundance of other advantages.
The appearance of the device is more than stylish. The familiar circle of photo modules, located on the left side of the back panel made of tempered glass, is in place, and the metal edging and thin screen frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner have not disappeared in comparison with the Pro version. The clarity of the image displayed by the 6.78-inch AMOLED panel is slightly less than that of full-fledged flagships, but it cannot be considered bad with a resolution of 2780x1264 pixels. The brightness reserve of 4500 cd/m2 is enough to work with the device in direct sunlight, there is also realistic color rendition and smooth content at a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Of course, the display also has an oleophobic coating.
The selection of technical characteristics is also good. The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ CPU is one of the most technologically advanced today. Its combination with 12 GB / 16 GB of RAM and an amazing Mali-G925 Immortalis MP12 graphics adapter allows you to see not only a record three million points in the AnTuTu benchmark, but also extremely smooth gameplay in all existing games. Even Genshin Impact or Fortnite will not be an exception. Of course, you can safely set the maximum graphics settings. The battery capacity is increased to 6100 mAh, which is impressive. The mobile assistant will please its owner with 9-10 hours of active screen time in 99% of cases. Unfortunately, there is no wireless charging, but the power of the wired analog is 100W. 25-30 minutes at the outlet and the cherished 100% charge is visible in the corner of the AMOLED screen. The permanent memory is allocated 256/512/1024 GB, each user will find the option he needs.
But the photographic capabilities are unlikely to please sophisticated photographers. The manufacturer saved on the telephoto lens, and the installed auxiliary modules are frankly mediocre (8-megapixel wide-angle lens and 2-megapixel macro camera). But at least the main sensor of 50 megapixels (Sony IMX906) is characterized by excellent detailing of pictures in literally any lighting. Even the dynamics of objects does not greatly affect the final result of the photo shoot. The stereo sound is natural, rich, bass is audible. Of course, there are also NFC contactless payments, support for 5G networks, but at the same time, moisture protection has only received the IP65 standard. As a result, the gadget deserves attention and will definitely not cause disappointment, but a few more improvements would not hurt its competitiveness and attractiveness to the buyer.
