OnePlus Ace 6T Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus Ace 6T Overview
OnePlus Ace 6T - An Unexpected Sub-Flagship
The Chinese company OnePlus significantly updates the technical specifications of each new generation of its smartphones. Of course, the developer sometimes makes some simplifications to keep costs down, but in the vast majority of cases, we see significant improvements in many parameters. However, a number of parameters on today's review subject have advanced so much that its final, affordable price tag is hard to believe.
The design of the new device is more than impressive. While the dual-camera assembly may seem overly simple to some, the combination of stylish colors on the tempered glass back panels, metal trim, and ultra-thin screen bezels with a built-in fingerprint scanner around the perimeter is impressive. The 6.83-inch AMOLED display boasts an unprecedented 165Hz refresh rate, a feature unmatched by 99% of flagships. Ultra-smooth content playback is accompanied by crisp, clear images at a resolution of 2800x1272 pixels, an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits, no PWM, and natural color reproduction. Of course, the high-tech AMOLED panel also features an oleophobic coating.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 12/16GB of RAM, and Adreno 829 graphics adapter are among the most powerful combinations available today. Over three million points in the AnTuTu benchmark test indicate that framerate stability will be unaffected even in resource-intensive games. You can safely set graphics settings to maximum. Throttling does occur, although not particularly modestly, but it manifests itself in benchmarks with loads unachievable during normal use. The battery capacity has been increased to 8300 mAh, which is close to a record in the segment. Battery life reaches 12-15 hours of active screen time. Wired charging is rated at 100W, so charging from a power outlet won't take even an hour. Storage options include 256/512/1024 GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Unfortunately, the device wasn't without its share of cost-cutting measures. These are evident in its photography capabilities. For example, there's no room for a telephoto lens, and the only auxiliary 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor is frankly mediocre. The main 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 sensor with hybrid image stabilization has to do the work of three. It handles daytime shots flawlessly and leaves plenty of room for evening photo sessions. However, noise and blur will occasionally creep into the resulting images. The stereo sound is beyond reproach. It's both loud and well-balanced. NFC contactless payments, 5G support, and Android 16 will further encourage you to purchase this powerful, beautiful, and long-lasting device.
