OnePlus Ace Pro 3 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus Ace Pro 3 Overview
OnePlus Ace Pro 3 - a chopped flagship
The Chinese company OnePlus never ceases to produce extremely competitive devices in the highest price category. However, if previously the corporation significantly improved the parameters of the devices it produced every year, then in the last year or two some stagnation has been noticeable. And the hero of today’s review is a clear confirmation of this.
The appearance of the new product is really beautiful. Firstly, the glass panel and metal edging are pleasing, and secondly, the round block of photomodules and the almost absent display frames look attractive. The monoblock is very ergonomic and can be easily controlled with one hand. The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen has an impressive resolution of 2780x1264 pixels, a huge brightness reserve of 4500 nits, and a 120-Hz picture refresh rate. At the same time, the AMOLED panel could not do without competently calibrated color reproduction and a high-quality oleophobic layer.
The technical characteristics are the third generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen processor, 12/16/24GB of RAM and the Adreno 750 video chip. The performance of the bundle is very high, the Android 14 interface works without a hint of lag. Of course, gamers will also rejoice at the power of the chipset, for whom even the resource-intensive Genshin Impact functions amazingly at any graphic settings. The frame rate rarely deviates from 60 frames per second. The autonomy of the device is pleasantly surprising, because the battery capacity has been increased to 6100 mAh. Sometimes you don’t have to look for sockets for a couple of days, and fast charging reduces the time the phone is away from the user to 25-30 minutes. The permanent memory is allocated 256/512/1024GB in UFS 4.0 format.
With photographic capabilities the situation is no longer so clear. The 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and 2-megapixel macro camera are frankly bad for the value segment, and the main 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 module with hybrid stabilization still does not allow calling the device a camera phone. If daytime photos are close to ideal, then evening photos sometimes show noise and blur. The stereo sound is loud, the frequency response is balanced. There are NFC contactless payments, support for 5G networks and an infrared port for controlling household appliances, but it is waterproof according to IP68 standards and wireless charging. These factors, along with the lack of FDD-LTE B7, spoil the impression of a potential bestseller, which is now not easy to recommend for purchase to everyone.
