OnePlus Ace Racing Edition Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus Ace Racing Edition Overview
OnePlus Ace Racing Edition is an affordable gaming bestseller
The performance of the latest flagship and sub-flag processors for Android devices is amazing, but devices based on such chips usually ask for impressive money. Fortunately, smartphone manufacturers understand the desire of buyers to get a powerful and at the same time inexpensive mobile assistant. That is why gadgets like the hero of today's review come out, pleasing with power and only slightly upsetting with simplifications in other aspects.
The appearance of the novelty is not devoid of many positive features. An interesting triple-camera setup, beautiful body colors, relatively small screen bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor all combine to form a fairly modern exterior for an Android smartphone. However, it is difficult not to notice such a sign of a cheaper model as the widespread use of plastic. Such material is scratched rapidly, and the tactile sensations from it are much worse than from glass or metal. The 6.59-inch display is made using IPS technology, which is also chosen to reduce the cost of the device. The brightness of the IPS-panel is average, the contrast is also not impressive, but the clarity of the image at a resolution of 2412x1080 pixels and its smoothness at a 120-Hz refresh rate are not inferior to those of opponents.
Of course, the main competitive advantage of an Android phone is its technical specifications. The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 CPU is an almost ideal option for gamers, because the chipset is more than enough for the most resource-intensive games and, surprisingly, after a couple of hours the user will not find a drop in framerate, lag or friezes. This is a merit not only of 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Mali G610MC6 video core, but also of an excellent cooling system, low power consumption of the bundle. At the same time, the 4900mAh battery can withstand a day and a half of operation of the device, while the capacity is set in 40 minutes thanks to fast charging at 65W. The size of the ROM was 128 / 256GB, while its format is high-speed UFS 3.1.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to be delighted with the photo capabilities of the installed modules. Frankly budget 64-, 8- and 2-megapixel sensors save only during daylight shooting, because with enough light it is really easy to get detailed and natural shots. But as soon as objects begin to move, and the lighting deteriorates, noise and blurring begin to fill photos and video files. But music lovers will be delighted with high-quality stereo sound and a separate audio jack for wired headphones. Of course, the technological gadget is not deprived of NFC contactless payments. So, if you're a discerning Android gamer looking to save a hundred or two dollars and still get flawlessly smooth gameplay even in Genshin Impact, this Android phone will be to your liking.
