OnePlus Aurora Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus Aurora Overview
OnePlus Aurora - loss of individuality?
The Chinese company Vanplas, which has established itself as excellent flagship smartphones, has released several rather controversial products this year. So, the main flagships of the corporation came out not quite ideal from the point of view of critics and ordinary buyers, and the mid-budget Nord model turned out to be not the most durable and beautiful in terms of the screen. The hero of today's review is another experiment of the company and is aimed at an even lower price category. But should the manufacturer have taken such a desperate step?
The appearance of the novelty is strict and at the same time beautiful. The fingerprint scanner on the side, the design of the rear glass panel with a dual camera, similar to those of the more expensive counterparts, the bezelless 6.35-inch display with a 13-megapixel front sensor in the upper left corner look organic and stylish. Only the plastic edging slightly spoils the overall impression of the good exterior. The quality of the OGSpanel with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels does not disappoint with its brightness and contrast, but the picture is still far from the top level. But the newfangled image refresh rate of 90hertz is present.
The technical characteristics are relevant and very interesting. The Qualcomm Snapdragon690processor supports 5G networks and delivers superior performance with the proprietary OxygenOS shell. 6GB ofRAM and the Adreno 619L video adapter help the chip to demonstrate smooth gameplay in demanding games at high graphics settings. The maximum graphic presets will be available only for some gaming applications. Internal storage is allocated 64 / 128GB , there is no microSD card slot.
The main 48 and 5-megapixel photomodules led by Samsung GM2 allow you to get good photos and videos even in mediocre lighting. This is due to the proven software. The 4000mAh battery capacity is enough for 8-9 hours of active screen time, which is enough for about a day and a half of using the gadget. There are NFC contactless payments, but the reason for the chagrin of a number of users will be the lack of a separate headphone jack. As a result, the resulting device can hardly be called unbalanced or low-functional, but it has many opponents today. And the device has not enough strong competitive advantages.
