OnePlus K1 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus K1 Overview
OnePlus K1 - built for gaming
The OnePlus company is trying to adapt to the changing market conditions as much as possible and is increasingly expanding the range of products offered. So, the corporation decided to create a line of smartphones that offer amazing performance for little money. At the same time, the first representative of the new series is not deprived of many important advantages.
The appearance of the novelty is not devoid of traces of savings to reduce costs, but it looks great. The body is made mostly of plastic, it has an ergonomic and stylish texture, and is also decorated with an interesting camera unit, an almost frameless display. The side fingerprint sensor fits well into the overall picture. The 6.59-inch IPS screen is not the strongest side of the device due to the limited margin of brightness, however, it is much more difficult to find fault with the image clarity at FullHD + resolution, its smoothness at 120 Hz refresh rate.
The technical specifications are truly flagship, because the latest Mediatek Dimensity 8100 CPU competes on equal terms with the most popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and is ready to provide impeccable gameplay stability even in the resource-intensive Gensgin Impact with its elaborate open world. Achieving such an impressive result would be impossible without 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Mali G610MC6 video accelerator. At the same time, the chipset is also endowed with low power consumption, which solves issues with autonomy and heating of the gadget. The back panel becomes warm after an hour of gameplay, but does not burn the hand, the throttling values are moderate, they do not affect the functioning of the mobile assistant. A 5000mAh battery often shows 8-9 hours of screen time, its other competitive advantage is 65W fast charging. Of course, such a technologically advanced and balanced Android smartphone could not do without the appropriate amount of internal storage of 128/256GB.
But the phablet fails to surprise with its photographic capabilities. 64-, 8- and 2-megapixel photomodules are not very expensive, there are no optical stabilization and high-quality lenses. Getting daytime photos is unlikely to be an obstacle even for a novice photographer, but avoiding excess noise and an abundance of blur in the evening is an extremely difficult task. As for the sound, the stereo speakers do their job perfectly, but there is no separate jack for wired headphones. Among the other advantages of the considered Android phone, we note NFC contactless payment, support for 5G networks, a very affordable price and software honed to the smallest detail. Thus, the device fully meets all the expectations of the audience and deserves a purchase only if you are not looking for a camera phone.
