OnePlus Nord 4 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus Nord 4 Overview
OnePlus Nord 4 - not like everyone else
I think almost every lover of mobile electronics has already become tired of the monotonous design of most smartphones. Sometimes you can only distinguish one monoblock from another with a microscope, but you really want to get not just a device, but also a beautiful, memorable and original accessory. If you have such a desire, then the hero of today’s review from the Chinese company OnePlus is ready to fulfill it.
The appearance of the new product is one of its trump cards. It is simply impossible to find an alternative with the same metal body now. It pleasantly cools the palm, has excellent ergonomics and, of course, excellent durability. There is even moisture protection, but only according to the IP65 standard. The positive impression of the exterior is complemented by a neat dual camera unit, a stylish rear panel texture, and thin display frames with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The 6.74-inch AMOLED panel does not fail either. It combines an excellent diagonal resolution of 2772x1240 pixels, an increased image refresh rate of 120 hertz, a peak brightness of 2500 nits and decent calibrated color reproduction.
The technical characteristics are not far from the flagship ones. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 CPU, together with 8GB/12GB/16GB of RAM and the Adreno 732 video accelerator, scores almost one and a half million points in the AnTuTu test, which indicates amazing performance. Even experienced gamers will be satisfied with it, because resource-intensive games like Zenless Zone Zero or Fortnite are subdued by the chipset at maximum graphics settings. It is unlikely that anyone will have complaints about autonomy, because the 5500 mAh battery provides up to 9-10 hours of active screen time. It’s a pity that it is deprived of wireless charging, but its wired counterpart received a power of 100W. Permanent memory is allocated from 128 to 512GB (depending on the purchased device configuration).
The main cameras were a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 module with hybrid stabilization and an eight-megapixel wide-angle lens. The lack of a telephoto lens is disappointing, but the main photo module consistently pleases with detailed and natural photographs and videos, regardless of lighting conditions. Stereo sound is present, there are no problems with volume or frequency response. The list of advantages is complemented by NFC contactless payments, support for 5G networks, and an infrared port for controlling household appliances. As for the minuses, we can note that the price tag is not the most affordable, probably due to the materials used to make the gadget. But the overpayment is definitely worth it, because this is a technologically advanced, balanced and truly attractive device.
