OnePlus Nord N300 5G - too generic?

Fans of the Chinese company Vanplas are used to the fact that literally every new model of the brand turns out to be extremely competitive and relevant. However, smartphones of the low-mid price segment do not always meet the needs of fans from the corporation. Unfortunately, the hero of today's review did not escape a similar fate.

The appearance of new items is difficult to criticize within the cost category. The developer did not forget about the side fingerprint sensor and the well-developed dual camera unit. A positive impression is also made by the matte finish of the back panel, made in corporate colors. The almost frameless display received a diagonal of 6.56 inches, HD + resolution and a picture refresh rate of 90 hertz. The image is smooth, however, far from the clearest and brightest, but the latter is more of an IPS technology cost than a shortcoming of the phablet in question. But the exterior can be scolded for the widespread use of plastic, and not more expensive and tactilely pleasant glass.

The technical characteristics are the MediaTek Dimensoty 810 CPU with support for 5G networks, 4GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC2 graphics adapter. This is a fairly balanced solution in terms of performance and energy efficiency, which will provide a decent speed for the Android 12 interface, and will not let you get bored without modern games. Even Genshin Impact, known for its excessive resource consumption, will be quite playable on the device, but with low-medium graphics presets. Strong heating of the device does not occur even when shooting a video for a long time, and a 5000mAh battery in most cases guarantees about two days of active operation of an Android phone. But fast charging at 33W is unlikely to please the buyer, as well as 64GB of internal storage with the possibility of further expansion.

48- and 2-megapixel photomodules form the weak side of the gadget, because it is difficult to consider their photo capabilities even satisfactory when the lighting deteriorates. A special night mode brightens the frame, but at the same time adds an abundance of noise, reduces the already meager amount of detail. At the same time, daytime photos are natural, they can be uploaded to social networks without editing. There is no stereo sound, the loudness and uniformity of the frequency response of the mono speaker involved are low, but the audio jack is left for music lovers. NFC contactless payments expand the list of advantages of an Android smartphone, but a slightly overpriced price tag and mediocre photographic abilities are unlikely to make a hit out of the considered device.
