OnePlus Pad 2 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OnePlus Pad 2 Overview
OnePlus Pad 2 - an inexpensive tablet for gamers
The Chinese company OnePlus knows how to pleasantly surprise its fans. So, completely unexpectedly, the world-famous manufacturer decided to please all fans of mobile games with an incredibly productive and at the same time affordable device. It is he who became the hero of today's review.
The appearance of the new product is more than attractive. The metal case is thin and ergonomic, the corners are rounded, which improves the overall ergonomics. But the camera block could protrude less. The display frames are more than noticeable, but opponents cannot boast of their smaller thickness. The developer saved a little on the screen, using a 12.1-inch IPS panel, albeit high-quality. The brightness reserve was 900 nits, which is still enough to work with the device in direct sunlight, but the lag from AMOLED analogs is visible. But otherwise, everything is fine. The impressive resolution of 3000x2120 pixels is combined with excellent content smoothness at a refresh rate of 144 Hz, natural color rendition, a complete absence of the PWM effect and a good oleophobic coating.
The technical characteristics are truly delightful. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, 12 GB of RAM and Adreno 750 are still the most powerful bundle for Android devices, which gives about two million points in the benchmark. You won’t be able to notice any lags in the Android 14 interface (OxygenOS shell) no matter how hard you try, all existing gaming applications work stably at maximum graphics settings. At the same time, heating is moderate even after a couple of hours of gameplay. All of the above is complemented by an internal storage of 256 GB. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to increase it with MicroSD cards.
The main 13-megapixel camera and the front 8-megapixel sensor are intended rather for video communication, with their help you can take a more or less high-quality photo during the day and with minimal dynamics of events. In other scenarios, the shots will disappoint with problems with color rendering, noise and blurring. Stereo sound is represented by as many as six speakers, its volume and volume deserve the highest praise. Autonomy does not fail either. The 9510 mAh battery is enough for 8-9 hours of active screen time, the capacity is gained in 80-90 minutes thanks to fast charging with a power of 67 W. The fact that there is only a WiFi version of the device is disappointing, but a SIM slot would seriously expand the functionality. But even without it, the device is quite capable of claiming the title of an international hit. The ratio of cost and quality is off the charts.
