Oppo Find X9 – a flagship without embellishment

The Find series of smartphones from the Chinese company Oppo annually evokes exceptionally positive emotions, not only among brand fans. The manufacturer fantastically combines modern design, cutting-edge technical specifications, excellent cameras, and a reasonable price tag. The hero of today's review also lives up to this description. While we won't see a revolution in the price segment, the device certainly outperforms most of its competitors.

The appearance of the new device is simple, even slightly minimalist, yet beautiful and memorable. Four stylish tempered glass and metal case colors will suit any taste, the neat rounded corners of the candybar add ergonomics, and the design of the photo module assembly is also interesting. The frameless 6.59-inch AMOLED panel is bezel-less and houses a precise fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the developer hasn't forgotten about full IP68 dust and moisture protection. The 2760x1256 pixel display offers excellent clarity, excellent smoothness at a 120Hz refresh rate, natural color reproduction, and minimal PWM.

Performance is assured by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, which scores significantly over three million points in AnTuTu and is almost on par with its high-tech competitor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Combined with 12/16GB of RAM and a Mali G1-Ultra MC12 GPU, it handles not only the Android 16 interface but also the most resource-intensive games. Even in Genshin Impact and Fortnite, it's easy to achieve a stable frame rate of 100 FPS or more. The 7025mAh battery clearly demonstrates that battery life will be a strong point. It provides 12-13 hours of active screen time, and charges both wired (80W) and wirelessly (50W). Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1024GB.

It's hard to miss high-quality photos and videos with cameras like the main 50MP Sony LYT-800 sensor and the 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 periscope telephoto lens (3x optical zoom), both equipped with hybrid stabilization, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP ToF sensor. The photography capabilities are truly flagship-quality, with excellent detail even in evening shots. Noise and blur are difficult to detect, even with lots of moving objects. Of course, there's also stunning stereo sound, NFC contactless payment, and 5G support. Ultimately, this is one of the most well-rounded and promising devices in this price range.
