Oppo Reno 13 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oppo Reno 13 Overview
Oppo Reno 13 - the desired middle class
The Reno line of smartphones from the Chinese company Oppo has contained extremely competitive smartphones with an excellent balance of price and quality for many years. Of course, not all generations of the series were super popular, but it is impossible not to notice the constant improvements in the functionality and performance of gadgets. The hero of today's review is approaching sub-flagships in its technical characteristics and at the same time maintains a democratic price tag.
The appearance of the new product is really attractive. Thanks to the combination of a metal frame, stylish colors of glass back panels, original design of the camera block and thin screen frames around the perimeter, the phone looks very expensive. The 6.59-inch AMOLED display also makes a positive impression, although it is not perfect. Its main problem is the peak brightness of 1500 nits, due to which the picture loses some visibility in direct sunlight. The resolution of 2760x1256 pixels is more than enough for image clarity with the selected diagonal, there are no problems with its smoothness at a 120-Hz refresh rate. Color rendition is correctly calibrated, the manufacturer has not forgotten the oleophobic coating.
The latest MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor is not much different from its predecessor with the 8300 index, but this fact cannot be attributed to its shortcomings. Together with 12/16 GB of RAM and a Mali G615MC6 video adapter, the CPU scores more than 1,300,000 points in the AnTuTu test and is ready to cope with all resource-intensive applications and games. You can immerse yourself in the huge and incredibly beautiful worlds of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail with maximum graphic presets, although sometimes with minor slowdowns. At the same time, the battery capacity increased to 5600 mAh adds to the list of advantages of the phablet also autonomy for a couple of days of its active use. Fast wired charging at 80 W is included. There will be no shortage of built-in memory, because the internal storage capacity can be 256 or 512 GB.
But the photo capabilities are already showing some traces of savings. The mediocre wide-angle 8-megapixel lens is unlikely to be used often, while the main 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 sensor with hybrid stabilization is not bad, but is already found in inexpensive devices. Daytime photos are beautiful, but evening shots will sometimes be spoiled by noise or blur. The stereo sound is voluminous and rich, but the volume and frequency response of the two speakers are uneven. Among the advantages, we also note support for contactless payments NFC and the presence of 5G, the disadvantages include the temporary absence of a global version of the device. Thus, you will have to wait for the device to be released outside of China or get used to some non-removable application services, potentially poor 4G network performance due to the lack of FDD-LTE B7. But it is worth taking a closer look at the device in any case.
