Oppo Reno10 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oppo Reno10 Pro Overview
Oppo Reno10 Pro - forgetting about the main thing
It's amazing how sometimes an insignificant trifle can radically change the opinion about a particular thing. Sometimes the impression can go in a positive direction, sometimes - in a negative one. Unfortunately, the Chinese company Oppo, literally with one simplification, was able to significantly reduce the attractiveness of the hero of today's review for the audience. But his fate could have been completely different.
It is simply impossible to find fault with the designers of the corporation. The smartphone falls in love with itself from the first second, because the combination of a beautiful glass back panel with skillfully chosen colors, a massive but neat block of photomodules, and almost no screen frames around the entire perimeter. It is not clear why instead of a metal edging it was decided to use a plastic one, because the price tag of the phone is not so small. The 6.74-inch AMOLED display is close to ideal in terms of image clarity (resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels), its smoothness (refresh rate of 120 hertz), and color reproduction. Separate pluses are an accurate built-in fingerprint sensor and the absence of a PWM effect.
The selection of technical characteristics is also successful. The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 CPU (16GB RAM, Mali G610-MC6 video adapter) is characterized by high performance (just under a million points in the popular AnTuTu benchmark) and at the same time amazing energy efficiency. All this leads both to the smooth operation of all existing games, and to relatively little heating of the case after several hours of gameplay, autonomy at the level of one and a half days from a 4600 mAh battery. The charging power has been increased to 100W, so it will take a few minutes to be at the outlet. 256 / 512GB of permanent memory, although they do not have an expansion option, will be sufficient for most users.
A significant problem of the gadget lies in the photo capabilities. If the auxiliary sensors are of high quality (32-megapixel telephoto lens in 2X Zoom, 8-megapixel wide-angle module), then the potentially top-end 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 was deprived of optical stabilization, which is why evening photos come out not so impressive. When lighting deteriorates, noise and blur appear, only software and good lenses cannot completely eliminate them. Stereo sound is not devoid of volume, bass, frequency response is quite flat. NFC contactless payments, the current Android 13 expand the list of advantages of the phablet, which also did not include wireless recharging, dust and moisture protection. However, it is precisely the simplified photographic capabilities that do not allow the device to count on the title of bestseller.
