Oppo Reno6 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oppo Reno6 Overview
Oppo Reno6 - full-fledged sub-flag
The initial representatives of the flagship smartphone lines are usually extremely cut-down in performance or functionality, the main goals of which are to preserve the appearance of a top-end analogue and at the same time to motivate to buy a real leader of the series. However, in the case of the hero of today's review, the situation is completely different, because the Chinese company Oppo decided practically not to resort to any simplifications.
The appearance of the novelty is not much different from that of the phablets with the Pro prefixes. The proprietary design of the photomodules, the rich colors of the rear plastic panels, the barely noticeable eye of the 32-megapixel selfie camera in the frameless display look stylish flagship. The edging of the case is metal, but the glossy plastic is prone to scratches, so it is recommended to use the case in everyday use of an Android smartphone. But the 6.43-inch AMOLED screen is no longer criticized. The brightness and contrast parameters are high , the resolution of 2400x1080 pixels is enough for the clarity of the picture, the refresh rate of 90Hz and the modest indicators of the PWM effect harmful to the eyes complement the general impression of the displayed image. The AMOLED panel also has a decent oleophobic coating.
The choice of technical characteristics is also interesting. The newest Meidatek Dimensity 900 processor along with 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Mali G68MC4 video adapter will delight both ordinary users and gamers, because the CPU is gaining more than 480,000 points in the Antutu benchmark. This fact means responsive and smooth operation of the Android 11 interface, as well as medium-high graphics settings in most resource-intensive Android games. The chipset, made according to the 7nm process technology, also heats up weakly, and is also characterized by low power consumption. As a result, the 4250 mAh battery provides a stable 8-10 hours of active screen time. Questions about the amount of internal storage will not arise either, since 128 / 256GB of ROM is expanded with MicroSD cards.
The four main cameras do not include a telephoto lens and are not endowed with optical stabilization, however, even without them, the 64-megapixel Omnivision OV64B photosensor can cope even with difficult shooting scenarios. Of course, photo sessions under evening lighting will not always go smoothly due to the appearance of noise and blur, but it is realistic to create a pleasant-looking picture even from the first take. Stereo speakers will not be superfluous when watching your favorite movies, it’s a pity that adding to the list of advantages is impossible due to contactless payments. Thus, the device in every aspect demonstrates good or excellent results, which will indescribably please the future buyer. Only the loss of NFC can be disappointing.
