Oppo Reno7 4G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oppo Reno7 4G Overview
Oppo Reno7 4G - beautiful, functional, slow
The Reno line of smartphones from the Chinese company Oppo has expanded significantly in recent years and now includes not only expensive models. The hero of today's review is aimed at the middle price segment and tries to carefully transfer the flagship design and functionality, but somehow he did not succeed with performance.
As noted earlier, the appearance of the novelty turned out to be interesting. The original design of the three cameras, unusual, but stylish and memorable body colors, under-screen fingerprint scanner and narrow display bezels make it possible to confuse the device with another expensive analogue. It is a pity that almost the entire monoblock is made of plastic. It collects fingerprints weakly, but is not as resistant to scratches and similar damage. The 6.43-inch AMOLED screen is both bright and contrasting, and has no problems with image clarity, because its resolution is 2400x1080 pixels. It is easy to guess that the AMOLED display is not without a 90-Hz refresh rate, as well as an oleophobic layer.
But no matter how excellent the situation is with the exterior and the screen, everything is so sad with the technical characteristics. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 CPU, even with 8GB of RAM and the Adreno 610 video core, does not gain power to confidently run modern games like Fortnite. But not even gamers, but ordinary users will notice some thoughtfulness of the Android 11 interface, opening applications is far from instantaneous. But the processor still has something to praise. Its excellent energy efficiency helps the 4500mAh battery show up to 9-10 hours of active screen time. The lack of wireless charging in a budget phablet is understandable, while wired power has reached 33W . The developer endowed an Android smartphone with as much as 256GB of ROM and a microSD card slot . The only pity is that most of the internal storage will have to be filled only with photos, music, and video files.
The main 64-megapixel sensor is more than good, albeit complemented by essentially useless 2-megapixel auxiliary cameras. In daylight, getting a shot with impressive detail and natural color reproduction is as easy as shooting a high-quality video in FullHD resolution. There is no optical stabilization, but a special night mode improves the photo results of evening shooting to a satisfactory level. The front 32-megapixel module, capable of excellent selfies, pleasantly surprises. NFC contactless payments are also present, but stereo sound is not. As a result, the gadget is unlikely to be really popular because of the simple chipset.
