Oppo Find N Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oppo Find N Overview
Oppo Find N - layouts change
The Chinese company Oppo is getting closer to the leading positions in the smartphone market every day. The impressive budget of the BBK concern and the abundance of qualified specialists gave the corporation the opportunity to quickly compensate for the technological gap and catch up with such A-brands as Samsung, Huawei. Now it's time to launch the company's first flexible display phone.
The appearance of the novelty is almost similar to that of the opponents' products. The form factor of the side " clamshell " in the assembled form is excessively thick, and the frames of the additional AMOLED display are not the smallest, but when unfolded, the gadget demonstrates all its essence. The huge 7.1-inch AMOLED screen brings a completely different experience to surfing the web, watching videos and playing games. An in-screen fingerprint sensor, a good diagonal resolution of 1920x1792 pixels and an impressive supply of brightness and contrast also benefit the screen. However, it must be understood that due to the technology used, the AMOLED panel is coated with plastic with a special protective film, and not glass. As a result, handle the device with care. But the structure itself is reinforced with a metal frame.
Specifications are worthy of a flagship. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 660 video adapter outperform its competitors in benchmarks and theoretically cope with gaming applications even after a couple of years, but the throttling problem has not been solved, which is why several hours are observed even in current mastodons like Genshin Impact jamming. The graphics settings will have to be slightly reduced. But in everyday life, the Android 11 interface amazes with the speed of response, browsers, instant messengers and tasks of similar complexity are executed without the slightest hint of lag. The 4500mAh battery provides only a day of active interaction with Android smartphones, but fast charging eliminates potential battery life shortcomings. The amount of internal memory has reached the shameful 256/512GB of UFS 3.1 format.
50-, 16- and 13-megapixel cameras still cannot compete with the best camera phones, however, the reviewed device does not have such positioning. Optical stabilization, 2x zoom, high-quality lenses and sophisticated software will allow you to get simply perfect daytime shots, while evening shots will be uncritically spoiled by noise. Of course, an expensive folding phablet could not do without support for 5G networks, NFC contactless payment, and wireless charging . Thus, the only obstacles to the acquisition of the device will be the price of an Android phone and its durability.
