OUKITEL C31 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oukitel C31 Overview
Oukitel C31 - inexpensive and boring
The Chinese company Oukitel has managed to release more than a dozen good budget smartphones in the history of its existence, but the number of successful models is still gradually decreasing. So, the hero of today's review is unlikely to satisfy all the requests of even the most sophisticated user.
The appearance of the novelty is not without attractive features, but it looks weaker than that of a number of opponents. Exterior problems are the outdated design of the 5-megapixel selfie camera and the lack of a fingerprint sensor, which both improves data security and is a convenient way to unlock the mobile assistant. The sympathetic colors of the cases and their ergonomic shapes, however, rather arouse sympathy for the phablet. The 6.517-inch IPS display delivers average picture quality. The blurring of small icons and fonts due to the HD + resolution, the brightness insufficient for direct sunlight, the standard 60-Hz image refresh rate do not contribute to the delight of working with the device.
The technical characteristics of the Android smartphone are the outdated MediaTek Helio A22 processor, 3GB of RAM and the PowerVR GE 8320 video adapter. The presence of equally cheap, but noticeably more efficient CPUs from UNISOC, such a decision by the manufacturer seems strange. The chipset can hardly cope with the Android 12 interface, most modern three-dimensional games are not available to it. Even in undemanding PUBG, there will be stuttering with minimal graphic presets. But the autonomy of the device is not to occupy, because the battery of 5150 mAh is responsible for it. It usually gives a couple of days of using the phone, but it will take 3-4 hours to charge it. 16GB of internal storage today can only cause a smile, so using MicroSD cards is a must.
13 and 0.3-megapixel photomodules can be useful in the simplest shooting scenarios. So, capturing a document is not difficult at all, and even a different daytime landscape will not upset you with noise or the number of details. It’s not worth demanding more from the photo capabilities of an Android phone in a low price segment. There is no stereo sound, but a wired headphone jack is left. Music lovers will definitely appreciate this functionality. But NFC saved on contactless payments, but such a competitive advantage would significantly increase the attractiveness of the device. Unfortunately, this did not happen, the gadget came out faceless and uninteresting.
