OUKITEL C36 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oukitel C36 Overview
Oukitel C36 - exchanging price for functionality
The release of several versions of one smartphone is still almost a huge number of manufacturers. However, skillfully making several variations of a model is sometimes a difficult task. And the Chinese company Oukitel was unable to implement it in the hero of today’s review, because it has become noticeably simpler than its predecessor and not to say that it is much cheaper.
The design of the new product is the same as that of the older representative of the line, which should be added to the list of advantages. The dual camera unit, a variety of body colors with matte textures, narrow screen frames, and a side fingerprint scanner have been retained. The 6.56-inch IPS panel looks more interesting within the lower price category. The HD+ resolution does not seem modest, the brightness margin and the realism of color reproduction do not raise any questions at all.
The first simplification is noticeable in the technical specifications. The UNISOC Tiger T606 chipset is approximately 10-15% weaker than the previously used 616th CPU, the amount of RAM is reduced to 4GB. All of the above has almost no effect on everyday work with the device, but the gaming capabilities are now not so wide. Even PUBG Mobile and World Of tanks Blitz will have to reduce the graphic settings to low-medium presets to get smooth and responsive gameplay. But the battery capacity (5150mAh) and, as a result, autonomy remained the same. You can actually get about 10 hours of active screen time from the battery. It's a pity that wired charging power is still 10W. The ROM size has also decreased, but the 128GB of internal storage can always be expanded with MicroSD cards.
13- and 2-megapixel photo sensors are best used for video communications or capturing documents. These are extremely simple modules, with the help of which it is by no means easy to create even a daytime photo. Detailing is poor, and the dynamic range of colors is not encouraging either. The only speaker is not particularly loud, but it’s unlikely to miss a call. But listening to music will not be enjoyable due to the lack of bass. To reduce costs, the developer removed NFC contactless payments and a gyroscope. Thus, we have before us a very cheap device, the relevance of which is in question.
