Oukitel K9 Pro is a sudden oversimplification?

In almost 100% of cases, the release of a smartphone with a Pro-index means an easy improvement of a popular phone in order to maintain its relevance for potential buyers or eliminate the most critical shortcomings. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers share this opinion. So, the Chinese company Aukitel simplified the hero of today's review in many respects in comparison with the previous model, but at the same time made it cheaper. Is this the right move by the developer?

The appearance of the novelty has become more modern thanks to the transfer of the fingerprint scanner to the side face, the appearance of a beautiful block of four cameras, as well as the not most noticeable eye of the 8-megapixel front-facing photo module. But at the same time, the case materials are replaced by plastic, which is tactilely inferior to both glass and metal, and it scratches without a cover in the blink of an eye. The 6.95-inch OGS display comes close to being mediocre due to its low HD + resolution. Individual pixels at the diagonal used will often catch your eye like loose small fonts. Brightness and contrast levels are also not amazing.

The performance of the Mediatek Helio A25 processor, 4GB of RAM and the PowerVE GE8320 graphics adapter is enough for the functioning of Android 11, even if the interface is "thoughtful" at times. Specifications are suitable for browsers, video players, instant messengers and other undemanding applications, but gamers will have to settle for only old or casual games with cut down graphics presets. 64GB of ROM along with a slot for microSD cards eliminates possible problems with a lack of memory.

13-, 5-, 2- and 0.3-megapixel cameras also lose out to previously used sensors. Even during daytime shooting, noise is sometimes peeped through, while when lighting deteriorates, these artifacts are supplemented by a decrease in detail and far from natural color rendition. Autonomy, in turn, is the strong point of the gadget, because the 5000mAh battery gives you a chance to hope for 10-11 hours of active screen time. True, the battery is fully charged in about two hours, charging is difficult to count as fast. NFC contactless payments, stereo sound, software elaborated to the smallest detail - all these things do not apply to the device in question. As a result, the device should be preferred to analogs from more well-known companies, which often differ in the best chipsets and photo capabilities.
