OUKITEL WP18 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oukitel WP18 Pro Overview
Oukitel WP18 Pro is still a power bank with phone features
It's never too late to correct your shortcomings. So, after a certain period of time, many manufacturers release Pro-versions of smartphones, which are aimed at eliminating all the shortcomings identified by a demanding audience. However, sometimes improvements still do not become serious and do not change the current situation. So, the hero of today's review, even after all the metamorphoses, is unlikely to boast of good sales.
The appearance of the gadget is standard for the segment of inexpensive Android phones with protection against dust and moisture (IP68). Huge screen frames, huge body dimensions will not be appreciated by users. The only positive features of the exterior are a fingerprint scanner and plastic inserts of bright colors on the rear panel that are pleasant to the eye. The 5.93-inch IPS display received HD + resolution along with average brightness and contrast values, which is why the picture sometimes looks faded, fades in direct sunlight.
The upgrade of technical characteristics is not impressive. The frankly outdated MediaTek Helio P22 processor is slightly superior to the A22 and with 4GB of RAM and a PowerVR GE 8320 video adapter does not even cope well with rendering the Android 12 interface. Gaming capabilities are also modest. The chipset can somehow run undemanding games like World Of Tanks Blitz with minimal graphics presets, but the latest titles like Genshin Impact will only give you an unplayable slideshow. The size of the internal memory has now been increased to 64GB, so not all buyers need to use MicroSD cards.
What is definitely worth praising is autonomy. The familiar 12500 mAh battery provides about 3-4 days of interaction with a mobile assistant without the need for recharging. Unfortunately, the 18W charging power spoils the impression of the battery, because of which the gadget will have to spend the whole night at the outlet. The photo capabilities of the main photomodules of 13 and 2 megapixels can hardly be considered wide. You can forget about evening photo shoots, even the LED flash does not really help. Daytime shots are notable for good detail, but there are often errors in color reproduction, there are noises. The developer continued to save on NFC contactless payments, stereo sound. Thus, we have a rather mediocre device, ready to please only people who really appreciate battery life in Android devices.
