Unfortunately, this is what happened with the hero of today's review.

The appearance of the new product is similar to other representatives of the WP28 line. The familiar block of photo modules and the colors of the device with protection from dust and moisture according to IP68 standards evoke positive emotions, and the reduced price tag helps to pay less attention to the thick screen frames. The fingerprint scanner has been removed, only a 5-megapixel selfie camera is responsible for unlocking the gadget. The simplification of the already modest 6.52-inch IPS display is disappointing. Now the resolution is a modest 1280x576 pixels, which is why 720p content is not available on video hosting sites. The picture clarity is mediocre, the brightness reserve of 450 nits cannot be considered outstanding, there is no increased smoothness of the content.

It is good that the UNISOC Tiger T606 processor and Mali G57MC1 video accelerator are in place, but the amount of RAM has been reduced to 4 GB. This fact does not particularly affect the performance of Android 14, except that the number of simultaneously running applications is reduced. But the gaming capabilities have become poorer, more or less resource-intensive games can not be tried to run. You will have to be content with only undemanding 3D hits from many years ago. The internal storage size is 64 GB, almost all buyers need to use MicroSD cards. As for autonomy, it is still the main competitive advantage. The 10600 mAh battery is enough for three or even four days. Fast charging has a power of 18W.

The photographic capabilities of the 13 and 2-megapixel main cameras should not be exaggerated. They will help in capturing the text of documents, but even daytime photos often lack detail, have noise, blur and other artifacts. Stereo speakers, of course, are not provided, and for some reason there is no separate headphone jack. NFC contactless payments have also disappeared. Thus, the huge list of new compromises does not allow us to recommend the device for purchase.
